I’m kinda small, only about 10lbs, but that’s no reason to call me “Teentzy.” I hear that you can shrink with age, so would you believe that I started life as a 100lb Rottweiler? Ok, so I’ve always been a somewhat diminutive doxipoo. Yes, it’s been said that I look kinda like I have an elegant little mini longhair doxi head glued to a fuzzy poodle body, but I promise you, I’m a pretty special little girl. Ok, ok, maybe at about 10 years old (a lady never tells her age) I’m more of a worldly mature woman, than a girl. Even though I’m nearly all blind, kinda hard ofhearing and have a touch of arthritis…but then again, who doesn’t – I still get around pretty dang good! I am very healthy, thanks to DRSF’s great vet care, with newly shiney white teeth and I’ve had all those pesky shots. I’m great with other animals (well, to be completely honest, I really don’t like those annoying hyperactive pups much. What do people see in them anyway?). I even love cats one of my favorite bedmates is a cat. I walk well for short distances as long as I can feel and smell my human companion next to me for guidance. I am very quiet, housetrained and the perfect apartment dog since I don’t need much space. I’ve come a long way since I was dumped at the shelter and left to die there. I was so scared at the load noises and dirty environment that I decided to just roll up into a ball and not move at all. DRSF saved me and I can’t wait to have my very own forever family to love me and give me a place to laze around and feel the warmth of the sun on my face. At only 10lbs I’m also the perfect dog to carry around with you in a shoulder bag or knapsack. Are you looking for a constant companion and a new best friend? Well, I am the dog for you. Tina is being fostered in Miami. If you are interested in meeting her, please complete the DRSF online adoption form at: www.DachshundRescueSouthFlorida.com .
