Stonebridge HOA Corner
As of June 5th Stonebridge HOA has 102 residents. Let’s start off by being role models for the rest of the community! Building community keeps property values up and knowing your neighbors helps keep the community safe!
Manager’s MessageHopefully, when you’re reading this, we’ll be enjoying real summer weather. The long, cold, snowy winter was beginning to shorten our summer! Let’s hope it cut short the hail season, but not our summer. Did you know that when you conserve water, you conserve energy, too? Pumping our water up from deep wells and then through our treatment system and into storage tanks requires a significant amount of electricity. Even our wastewater gets pumped to the sewage treatment plant. Every gallon of water saved through conservation also saves energy.
Aquatics and summer sports programs are well under way. Please call or stop by the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center if you have any questions about sign-ups for classes and sports programs. We continue to add fitness instructors, aquatics class teachers, and sports program coordinators, so check with us often for the latest offerings. Be sure to get signed up for the smart phone app at the Recreation Center in order to receive timely announcements by text or email, and to register for programs on your smart phone. Thanks for your patience during our recent work on the Recreation Center parking lot. It was a mess for a few days, but looks great now.
August 1 is Colorado Day, celebrating the acceptance of Colorado as a state. On August 6 the Colorado Parks and Wildlife celebrates Colorado Day by offering free entrance into all state parks. See their website https://cpw.state.co.us/colorado-day for more information. Meanwhile, be sure to enjoy the extensive open space, parks, trails, and Recreation Center here in Meridian Ranch. It’s all part of our healthy lifestyle. Watch for announcements of Meridian Ranch concerts in the park during August.

Questions? We are here to help you make your living in Meridian Ranch as stressless as possible. Please contact your Meridian Ranch DRC Management Team:
Jamie Adams, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Managing Agent: [email protected]
Julie Sampson, Governance Director: [email protected] Chaylyn Petrik, DRC Administrator (DRC no 2): [email protected]
The DRC team has been experiencing an influx of improvements, averaging 70 per month! Please keep them coming our way so we can review them with the Board and get your approval out as soon as possible. We do understand landscape vendors are getting booked out! In order for the process to go smoothly, please review your plan prior to submitting it. Front yard landscapes do have minimum requirements for trees and shrubs. Fences do have wing setbacks of a minimum of 5 feet from the corner of the home, and solid fences do need to be stained “Meridian Ranch Brown”. Not allowed is a clear stain; there does need to be color. Sheds and play structures do have setback requirements for the side and rear of the yard, so make sure you are reviewing the Design Guidelines. The websites are as follows for the DRC’s:

Only YOU Can Prevent Wildfires!Camping season is in full swing, and despite recent snow and rain there have already been some human-caused wildfires in our state.
Here are five fire safety tips from the U.S. Forest Service that you can take along on your next camping trip.
• Before going hiking or camping, check with the forest, grassland, or ranger district for fire restrictions or area closures.
• Use alternatives to campfires during periods of high fire danger, even if there are no restrictions. Nine out of 10 fires are caused by humans.
• If you do use a campfire, make sure it is fully extinguished before leaving the area — be sure it is cold to the touch.
• If you are using a portable stove, make sure the area is clear of grasses and other debris that may catch fire. Prevent stoves from tipping and starting a fire.
• Be careful of parking or driving your car or ATV in tall, dry, vegetation, such as grass. The hot underside of the vehicle can start a fire.
Other outdoor and camping safety tips can be found at the U.S. Forest Service website: https://www.fs.fed.us/visit/know-before-you-go
