TechniSat Digital GmbH was founded in 1987 by Peter Lepper with the aim of pro-ducing high-quality satellite reception prod-ucts for the end-consumers. The decision to establish in-house development and pro-duction in Germany was made back in 1990. The high quality standards TechniSat sets itself is evident from its products and in its development and production process with their emphasis not only on functionality and ease of use, but also on environmen-tal protection.

Quality is the best recipe As a pioneer in the field of satellite recep-tion equipment in Germany, TechniSat has been on the market with an expanding range of products for more than 20 years.

Besides equipment for receiving digital satellite television and high-grade profes-sional technology such as measurement devices, multiswitches, headends and in-stallation accessories, TechniSat also offers a wide range of digital receivers for receiv-ing satellite, cable and terrestrial (DVB-T) television.

Backed by its experience as the German market leader in digital receivers, TechniSat launched its first LCD digital TV set aimed at the luxury TV market with integrated multi-tuner to receive all types of digital programmes in 2005. The company’s suc-cess is based on its philosophy of develop-ing high-quality, innovative products suit-able for consumers in Germany and the

rest of Europe, and producing them with-in these markets. This has proven to be a very effective strategy as more and more customers place their trust in TechniSat branded products “Made in Germany”.

TechniSat offers a wide range of PC prod-ucts for the reception of digital television via satellite, cable and terrestrial. As well as the reception of digital television and radio programmes, the TechniSat PC products are equipped with the powerful and easy to use reception and playback tool DVBViewer TE2, an electronic programme informa-tion service with different useful features. In combination with the DVR function of the PC and the installed DVBViewer TE2 (TechniSat Edition), it is possible to record TV and Radio programmes to a hard disk drive. Some products are also ready for Pay-TV due to CI - Clot.1)

DVB-C/T Switch

The additional Switch offered by TechniSat Digital is able to select between DVB-C and DVB-T via the 5V feed voltage. Once the customer has activated the antenna in the hardware options, the channel scan for both DVB–C and DVB–T Tuners can be activated and the channel list will be populated with both DVB-C and DVB-T channels. With the active antenna option enabled, CableStar Combo HD CI automatically uses the 5V feed voltage for DVB-T transmissions.

TechniSat AirStar TeleStick 2TechniSat presents the new DVB-T HD-Stick for the reception of digital terrestrial television services (DVB-T) for viewing on a PC or laptop.

The AirStar Telestick 2 is a USB 2.0 stick for the reception of digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) on your PC or laptop. It combines excellent performance with ease of use. The product comes complete with DVB-Viewer TE2 software which provides an easy to use programme information serv-ice.
