OUR HISTORYOUR HISTORYThe Technical School for Building Surveyors ing yCava de’ Tirreni was founded on October 1st,1962.Cava Economic Society “had already beensuggesting for some years to found a HighSchool” to prepare the young for TechnicalStudies and Commerce.It was possible to carry out that idea founding aProvincial Technical School thanks to thesupport of our local authority and the financialsupport of our local authority and the financialaids of the Province of Salerno.

Luigi Vanvitelli (1700 – 1773) was ang ( )Italian engineer and architect. The most
i t i ht th t hit tprominent eighteenth-century architectof Italy, he practiced a sober classicizingy, p gacademic late Baroque style that made
i i N l i ian easy transition to Neoclassicism.
Vanvitelli was born in Naples, the son of aDutch painter of land and cityscapes whoDutch painter of land and cityscapes whoalso goes by the name Vanvitelli.

CASERTA PALACE
The Palace of Caserta, in Italian Reggia di Caserta, is a, gg ,former royal residence in Caserta, constructed for theBourbon Kings of Naples. It was the largest palace andprobably the largest building erected in Europe in thep y g g peighteenth century.
In 1996, the Palace of Caserta was listedamong the World Heritage Sites on the
