Control Board Proper grounding is necessary when handling microprocessor board to prevent damage from static electricity.

Refer to Base Manual in “Troubleshooting Procedures” Section.

Touch Pad

Depress the proper button when checking for continuity on foil side.

See “Touch Pad Testing” section.

Heater Relay

Relay coil: Purple and Gray (A to B)---- Black (3) to Black (4)…………………...

Approximately 425-475 Ω Closed circuit, when powered by 24VDC, normally open.

Motor Relay Relay Coil: Grey to Orange/Black ------ Switch Terminals: Common to N.O.---- Relay Coil Energized-----------------------

Approx 350 – 450 Ω Internal switch circuit is open. If switch is welded closed, replace switch 24VDC. Check for signal from control board if not present.

Vault and Service Switch

Disconnect wire terminals from switch. Check for continuity between terminals: Common to N.O.

Circuit is open until switch plunger is depressed. If not, replace switch.

Coin Drop Check for coin Movement. DO NOT OIL Coin Drop Mechanism.

Restricted: Clean if necessary.

Heating Element Check for continuity. Approx 10Ω - 240 volt element and 8Ω - 208 volt element.

Belts Check belt for excessive wear or being burnt and cracking.

Replace if belt is damaged.

DIAGNOSTIC CODES This mode is entered by depressing DELICATES for one second while in any of the set-up codes one through six (or while dAS displays if operating with Maytag Data Acquisition setup) or with a diagnostic code present. Diagnostic codes are cleared on entry and all display segments should flash. If a diagnostic code persists, it must be corrected before the diagnostic cycle may be executed. There are 2 procedures to initiate cycle activity from diagnostic mode for these models: 1. Upper Dryer Field Diagnostic Cycle – With the entire display flashing, the cycle is started by pressing the UPPER DRYER PERMANENT PRESS keypad. The cycle consists of seven minutes of heat and one minute of cool down. The UPPER DRYER WHITES & COLORS key pad will increment the diagnostic cycle minutes up to 99, then roll over to 2 minutes. Pressing the LOWER DRYER DELICATES keypad will cancel this cycle and exit the diagnostic mode. 2. Lower Dryer Field Diagnostic Cycle – With entire display flashing, the cycle is started by pressing the LOWER DRYER PERMANENT PRESS keypad. The cycle consists of seven minutes of heat and one minute of cool down. The LOWER DRYER WHITES & COLORS key pad will increment the diagnostic cycle minutes up to 99, then roll over to 2 minutes. Pressing the LOWER DRYER DELICATES keypad will cancel this cycle and exit the diagnostic mode.
