ASSIGNMENTDESCRIPTION
AssignmentDescription
Selectionandcontractingwillnormallybemadefromresponsestothisrequestforexpressionofinterest.Theconsultantwillbeselectedfromashortlist,subjecttoavailabilityoffunding.
IFChasbeenretainedbytheGovernmentofMexicoCitytoimplementaPublicPrivatePartnership(PPP)encompassingtheconstructionandoperationofthreeAnaerobicDigestionfacilitiesthat,together,shouldbeabletotreatthetotalityoftheorganicwastegeneratedinthecity(theProject).TheProjectsmainobjectivesare(i)toincreasetheCity'scapacitytoprocessanddisposeorganicwastegeneratedbyMexicoCitythroughthestructuringandexecutionofaPPPfortheconstructionandoperationofthreeAnaerobicDigestionfacilities(orotherenvironmentallyfriendlysolution),eachofthemabletotreat1,000to1,200tonsofwasteperdaywithhighbiodegradablecontentand(ii)maximizetheproductionofelectricityderivedfromtheefficientuseofthebiogasgeneratedbytheselectedtechnology.IFCintendstohireaconsultanttoundertakealloftheengineeringandtechnicalstudiesnecessarytothetransactionstructuring.
INDIVIDUAL/FIRMPROFILETheconsultantwillbeafirm.
SUBMISSIONREQUIREMENTSTheWorldBanknowinviteseligibleconsultantstoindicatetheirinterestinprovidingtheservices.Interestedconsultantsmustprovideinformationindicatingthattheyarequalifiedtoperformtheservices(brochures,descriptionofsimilarassignments,experienceinsimilarconditions,availabilityofappropriateskillsamongstaff,etc.forfirmsCVandcoverletterforindividuals).Pleasenotethatthetotalsizeofallattachmentsshouldbelessthan5MB.Consultantsmayassociatetoenhancetheirqualifications.
