IntroductionJeesilc® TMR-40 is an excellent transfer resistance agent with excellent water and sebum repellency on the skin. It is ideal for every type of color cosmetic and skin care product where a strong film former is needed yet a soft feel is desired. Jeesilc® TMR-40 is a semi-volatile, low viscosity, and easy-to-use fluid comprised of Trimethylsiloxysilicate dissolved in Isododecane. It dries quickly and sets an invisible layer of film protection on the surface of the skin, increasing resistance to smudging, clumping, rubbing off and smearing.
Jeesilc® TMR-40 has strong dual sebum and water blocking attributes tailor made to skin care, sun care, and all color cosmetics.
When incorporated into color cosmetics, it creates a veil of comfort for extended wear products. It aids in keeping the color where you want it and, more importantly, it prevents transfer of color to where you don’t want it.
When incorporated into skin care products, it adds softness and an occlusive breathable film without ever feeling tacky or uncomfortable.
When incorporated into suncare products, it adds comfort and wear-ability while enhancing water repellency.

FORMULATING GUIDELINES:Jeesilc® TMR-40 can easily be used in O/W emulsions, W/O emulsions, and anhydrous systems. Because of its light film-forming properties and film elasticity Jeesilc® TMR-40 is ideal for use in all color cosmetic products, as well as skin care.
Jeesilc® TMR-40 contains isododecane which evaporates at higher temperatures. When using heat, we recommend use of an enclosed vessel to limit and prevent the volatilization of the isododecane. The vessel should be inert at temperatures over 30°C.
When making traditional hot process formulas, we recommend cooling down the formulations to ≤ 45°C before adding Jeesilc® TMR-40 with continuous mixing.

Procedure: 1 In main beaker, add Phase A ingredients mixing with propeller mixer and heat to 70-75°C. 2 Cool down Phase A to 40-45°C. 3 Add Phase B to Phase A and mix until homogeneous. 4 Cool down Phase AB to 35-40°C. 5 Add Phase C ingredients. Mix until homogeneous. 6 Cool down Phase ABC to 20-25°C. 7 Add Phase D ingredients to Phase ABC and mix until homogeneous. 8 Adjust pH to 5.50 - 6.00.

A Linear Polyethylene with a Melt Point of 69°C. Use this low melting PE to add thickness/structure to your oil phase. Jeenate 3H provides a light feel and enhanced film formation for sun care or active delivery. Ideal in any hot pour application or as a secondary structuring agent for a stick, it adds improved soft feel and ‘payout’. Small percentages can be used to enhance stability in any emulsion. A ‘Cold Process Wax’ version of this ingredient exists as Jeesperse CPW-3. Use at 0.5 -10%.

Bis-vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer is a linear polymer patented by JEEN® (US Patent #7,407,666). The polymer is non-crosslinked, and provides security of knowing you’re not infringing on any patents pertaining to a Dimethicone Crosspolymer. Elegance delivered by the Bis-vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, and carried using Isododecane, this silicone gel will provide very light feeling powdery cushion.
