Just maybe the problem isn’t a lack of leadership opportunities. Maybe the problem is us. We develop the skills, do the work, play by the rules and hope that we eventually get the promotion. There is clearly a difference in the way women raise money vs how men raise money. Many factors are in play. Women founded businesses tended to be smaller and in low growth industries like retail and food, rather than technology. Women tend to be less apt to ask for venture funds and fund their businesses with personal savings. Less than 10% of venture capitalists are women. Learn how to beat the odds.
