AHMSA´s hot rolled products comply with the

highest international quality standards. The

company´s plate and coil production processes

are certified under the ISO 9002 standard.

To comply with its automotive industry

customers, AHMSA´s hot rolling area obtained

the QS 9000 certification. In an effort to protect

the environment during its production processes,

the Company also received the ISO 14001

certification.

AHMSA supplies plate (cut-to-length and coiled)

and hot rolled strip (coiled) in different grades

and specifications for various applications in the

autromotive and construction industries. These

products are also used to manufacture heavy

machinery, tubing, structures and pressure

vessels, among others.

AHMSA is Mexico´s only manufacturer of wide

plate.

The grades presented in this catalogue represent

our main product line. A minimum volume is

required to manufacture certain grades and/or

are subject to other restrictions.

HOT ROLLED COILSKIN PASS

Pickling can be applied to hot rolled coils

with a cut or mill edge1 (up to 0.250” of

thickness), with or without oil according to

the following general ranges:

PICKLING

1) Cut edge only for carbon steels up to 1020 orwith a 50 Ksi elasticity limit.

2) Internal diameter of 24” for thicknesses equalor greater than 1/4” and 20” for thicknessesbelow 1/4”.

Widths under 29” are offered as mill edges.

Sheets with lengths from 24” to 240” can bedelivered.

Floor plate is produced in accordance

to ASTM A-786. It is manufactured in the

following grades: SAE 1008 and 1010, and

ASTM A-36*.

FLOOR PLATE

Maximum coil weight: 15 metric tons.

Range and shape tolerances according to ASTM A-568 (for thickness up to 0.179”) and A-635

(for thickness from 0.180” up to 0.375”).
