Re: Team size
Hello
Adding further to Mural i's comments:
Assuming all modules to be implemented. ( Small or Mid sized)
1 consultant per module. 1 Basis 2 ABAP 1 Project Manager
Large Sized
2 or more per module , FI and CO seperated. 4-5 ABAP, 2 - New Dimensional 2-3 BASIS. Core Team
from client also in a similar proportion.
1 Project Manager with assistance.
Support Team:
Onsite Team / Offshore Team. Onsite - coordinating staff and off shore strength varying depending on
the number of users at the client sites. The off shore team size can be anything between 20 to 100.
Let me know if you need more clarification

Re: Team size
Dear Madhu,
Core Team Members : Are client side team members for the project. They explain us their
business process/scenario. They are the one's to be consulted for any clarification regarding
business process/scenario. There could be 2 -3 core team members per module in animplementation project.
FI/CO consultants : There could be 2 -3 FI/CO consultants for configuration. And few more for
Documention/User Manual Preperation/End User Training.
Remaining will be consultants for other modules and technical consultants.
Hope this is helpful.
Regards,
Naveen.

Re: Team size
Dear Madhu,
It really depends on lot of factors:
1. Implementation / Support
2. How many modules are being implemented / used ?
3. Time duration
4. Budget
5. Skillset of consultants (Experienced / Freshers)
6. How many Locations
7. Onsite / Offshore
and many more

Re: Team size
Team Size is basically decided on the project. There are projects where the total team size of
functional & technical are above 150 nos, but for small & meduim project the team size may vary
between 5 - 20 team members. It is very subjective & dependancy is totally on the type & scope of the
project.

Re: Team size
Team size will depend upon the modules implemented and size of the project. It is based mostly on
the number of issues. Usually 15% of the peak implementing size for small projects and around 10 %
for large project. Even for large projects intial support needs large team and based on the issues one
need to ramp down.

Re: Team size
Hi Suresh,
Did you see the date of the last post in this thread? It was nearly 4 years back. You were replying
to a thread which was asked
in May 29, 2007. Right now the poster would have gone into some company with his fake resume
and sitting as a senior consultant.
