I. Executive SummarySummer Cruise and Diving Corporation accommodate both divers and non-divers alike.

They supplement services that this line of people need and want. As a classification, the groupcan tell that Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation¶s a profound Recreational Resort thataccesses the call for world class product and services for the divers here and abroad. In linewith this, the group also take into consideration the standing of this industry here in thePhilippines and learned that this kind of trade have a lot of competitors, despite the fact that our country is an Archipelago which surrounded by water resources. Summer Cruise and DivingCorporation business process focuses from the Reservation to the Billing part of the transaction, which became the main focal point of the system that the group is about to propose.

First problem that the group has recognized is the Poor Marketing Reach where Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation could not be able to market locally due to lack of competenceand resources. Another is the lack of Acknowledgements of Weather Turbulence, whereReserve transaction is being cancelled or postponed due to late forecast of weather conditions .Moreover, the Confirmation of Payments is another problem that our group has perceived.Since Customer Payments are just done here in the Philippines, only when the clients arrived inthe venue proper and when they just about to avail their services is the only time they will going

pay. Because of this, there are a lot of circumstances that clients who reserved services or packages from the company ditched out. That¶s why last minute cancellation or a No-show isdefinitely a big turnover for the company, since the clients¶ services or rather accommodationshave been already prepared and reserved. Besides from that, there is no automatic schedulingfor Dive Masters, which means that they are not notified; there are some instances whereguests activity are in pending situation because they still have to wait for an available guidesince the resort recommend one dive guide for every open dives. As a result, customers arebeing tempted to reschedule the dive and take some time snorkeling or sailing which might begood for the company but resulted to an unsatisfied customer who might think of the company

as delinquent. And lastly, the group observed that the company have Substandard Servicesand preparation that is mostly due to their systems inconsistency.

Recommendations are to support Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation Sales andMarketing Staff on incorporating a System, which can help them promote relations with their previous, recent and potential future customers by integrating an Online Reservation and Payment System that will surely boost the Company Sales. Additionally, the system will setcoordination with a Local or International Weather Site where Clients and Support employeescan monitor the changes in the environment for the Customers safety. Moreover, the group willdeploy a Billing/Payment site on the company¶s existing Website, for Customer to directlytransact their business to the company and attest satisfaction by providing convenience for the

Customer. The propose Module must be connected on the Accounting Function of the Companyfor future references. And finally, Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation should have itsdedicated feature that once the System End-User assign their Dive Master, the System will automatically notify the Dive Master Mobile Phone and the schedule will be easily track sincethe customer will be receiving a advisory thru text and mail about the confirmation of thetransaction.

System Benefits are to I mprove Customer Satisfaction since Online Reservation andPayment System provides accommodation that enables to accept online reservations, manageinventory and supervise Manpower as well. In addition, Guests can now check the availability of the inventory and complete their booking via online, making the reservation process moreefficient and less time consuming for both parties. The Company will surely reduce its costs,

since clients can now confirm accommodation in real-time basis in the company¶s website. What's more is that the system will automatically assign the transaction and update it to theinventory management module that directly closes the sales. Through this valuable reservationstime is saved because reservation requests will no longer have to be processed manually thatrequires a lot of human intervention. Additional benefit is that it will promote a healthy relationship with the workforce , most especially to the Dive Master, who is inspired by havingtheir time valued by the company. By automating the sales process, the Company will be able tohandle the same amount of transactions, or more, at a much lesser cost. Moreover they will alsogain significant control over their margins and pricing strategy. It will definitely Boost Company Sales and increase their Website Potential. There will be a real-time acknowledgement of weather conditions which will built a kind of unwritten manifestation of security and safety for thepart of the customers that results to customers¶ loyalty and grant them that their company istrust worthy. Also, it will definitely meet the standard of sophisticated clients, may it be a diver or an enthusiast, since the company system site offers an Online Payment System where they willbe able to instantly reserve and pay their desired services without the hassle of calling theowner or going to the bank. And lastly, Products and Services are standardized since thecompany¶s¶ employee can take control of the reservations made through the Internet. There isno third party involved. They will just collect all guest payments as well as room rates andavailability more efficient than before.

System Implementation plans is to retain existing customer base and expand that base , to give constant communication process with the existing customer -- tracking their needsand their sense of perspective time to time , maintaining the accounts history of the customers including the invoices, credit limits and ledgers, plus the information to follow the pendingquotes and implementation processes and linking it to the Customer database. Furthermore, thegroup will set that will enable to Obtain and Maintain Senior Management Support , and Select the Right Technical Partner which can absolutely create rapport to the End-Users.

The System Cost will cover the Software and Hardware requirements. Under theSoftware requirements costs are the operating software and Anti-virus. On the other hand, theHardware requirements consist of Favorable requirements and optimal requirements. Below thefavorable requirements are the minimum requirements for the personal computer and its

network, while in the Optimal requirements, it is composed of personal computers which willserve as the server and its required network. The total Minimum requirement costs is about Php29, 609.00, whereas the total Optimal requirement costs is Php 88, 759.00, which leads theoverall System requirement costs amounting to Php 118, 368.00. The System Cost givescharge to Increase Profitability, have enough support from the business side in helping the endusers adopt the implementation of the system, Make good Relation with the Customer to haveCustomer Retention and Customer trust.

Dive Map

Bahura Ligpo:

This is a deep dive but it can be reached from a shore dive, boat, kayak, floater and dinghy fromthe resort. The top of the reef is around 21m/70ft. It looks like a plateau underwater. The reef sides have sand alleys. A sighting of cuttlefish and huge octopus makes this dive worthwhile;other reef sides are composed of big rocks with a lot of fan corals jutting out while others are

just sandy slopes. Watch for the tiny blue ribbon eel named "Betty Boo". This site starts deep itgets deeper. Some sightings of eagle rays, sharks, turtles, school of barracudas and frogfish arecommon in this site.

Batok

This site got its name due to its location relative to Sombrero Island. It is behind the island andBatok in English simply means "nape." The dive starts at the shallow around 10m/ 33 ft. Headwest and you will see that it forms into a small wall. The top of the wall is around 10m/ 33 ft and itbottoms out at around 21m/70ft. Then it's all sand. This site is great as a drift dive and good for novice divers as well.

The top of Batok reminded of the home of Nemo in the movie. There are also a lot of bouldersthat you can swim around. There are a lot of anthias, fusilier, octopus and maybe if you¶re luckya big cuttlefish. The shallow area is very colorful and good for snorkelers. To protect the coralssnorkelers are advised not wear fins and to avoid standing on them.

Beatrice

This is a dive site known for its tantalizing beauty. Apparently during the early years of ScubaDiving in Anilao, the early adventurers discovered this and one of their lady companions was

Page 8: Team Inevitable!

8/6/2019 Team Inevitable!

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/team-inevitable 8/88

named Beatrice, They named the site after her. This is a favorite dive site in Anilao. It's actuallyon the northeast corner of Sombrero Island. One side of the rock is slope and then a mini wall. The other corner goes into a gradual slope or coral garden. This site can have ripping currents, when that happens you will see the orchestra of anthias dancing with the current. The reef top isat 7m and slopes to 25m, best to stay at around 18-20m.

Cathedral

This is probably the most famous fish feeding dive site in Anilao. This is a favorite amongst diveinstructors for graduation dives. The site is teeming damselfish, butterfly fish and surgeonfishfeeding off your hands. They have been acclimatized to divers. In the Cathedral there is anabundance of stag horn corals. On the sandy patches garden eels and blue spotted rays maybe seen. At 60ft there are two rocks and in between is a cross that was brought down by theformer president Ramos. Behind the rocks the depth drops to 80ft. In the blue, you might belucky and spot a school of open mouth mackerel passing by. Currents can be very strong in thissite.

Dive n Trek

This is the house reef of Dive 'n' Trek resort and is very good for classroom lessons. There isno current in the area and a very abundant marine and coral life. This is also the home of giantclams. The fishes are accustomed to divers. It's great for snorkelers who must not wear fins toprotect the diminishing live corals in the area. A school of jacks at 3m is almost a guarantee.Cuttlefish and squids are also common on the area.

Kirby's Rock

This rises out of the water. On its' shoreward side, it drops to 5m from where the reef slopesupwards to the shore. There is good coral cover and fish life, including soft and leathery corals. On the seaward side, the rock drops as a wall to 20m and then shelves slowly off to 33 m - sandwith coral patches. This wall is rich with soft corals, colorful crinoids, good size barrel sponges, white finger sponges, hydroids, sea stars, alabaster sea cucumbers, medium sized gorgoniansea fans, segmented worms and the like. Look closely and you may see numerous eelsinhabiting the rock.

Rockport Resort

It's a fishing vessel about 40ft long, accessible from the Rockport Wreck. Basically, you start todescend on the last bamboo. Take your bearing as you can get disoriented because of a badvisibility due to silt. The last bamboo right behind you, the resort is 150 degrees. Descend to90ft then head out 120 degrees. The distance of the bamboo to the wreck is about 15ft away. The bow of the wreck is at 70ft and the stern at around 110ft. Following the bow of the shiptowards the shallows will lead you to the house reef in front of the resort. The wreck is home toa huge grouper, stonefish and lionfish.

Sepok Wall

Normally an easy and very pretty dive, with good coral gardens around 5 m and a wall droppingto 27m. The shallow water teems with a profusion of small reef fish, while the wall has bigger reef fish, barrel sponges, gorgonian sea fans, and a multitude of different species of nudibranchs, sea cucumbers and pelagic visitors. Usually visibility is great in this area.

DIVE SITES IN NASUGBU - Twin Islands

Pink Wall

Starting from a rocky bottom with a small cave at 20' the bottom leads down a wall covered withmasses of soft pink coral, abundant with fish from large Filefishes, Moorish Idols, Moray Eels,Crayfish, Banded Coral Shrimps and many others. The bright pinks, reds and yellows make thisan ideal night dive, depth ranges from 20-90'.

Coral Garden

A great variety of corals scattered over a sandy bottom leading to two walls, stingrays cover thewhole area and on each dive it is not uncommon to find at least three or more. This diverse divesite is one of the most popular here and the diver soon discovers with its selection of corals howaptly named it is. Lionfish and Batfish are common in this area. Depth from 30 - 50'.

Twin East

Covered with whip corals the bottom soon drops down over a wall to 70', with many small holesand crevasses this is an ideal dive site to take a flashlight on, sometimes sleeping nocturnalblack and white cat sharks are found under ledges. The wall drops down further before joiningup with coral garden.

Scope and LimitationThis study is conducted to know the reason behind the proponents on how the

proposed Online Reservation and Payment Systems will help the Resort Management.

Online Reservation and Payment System is fully scalable and designed to

provide extensive flexibility and varied choices. Typical online reservation andpayment system and e-commerce hotel system software reservation solutions iscurrently in place and available. But this off-the-shelf system package is technicallydesigned to achieve only one objective function, which is to connect buyer to seller.

Online Reservation and Payment System mainly focused on providing retailingbusiness application using computerized system that enables businesses to trackservices and aims to provide accurate and reliable process on every transactionespecially in reservation. Online Reservation and Payment System looked into a better impact of using technology today on how it affects our daily lives especially for being the

customer. With this studies it can help our beneficiaries to know the differences of usingmanual system to a computerized generation today, prioritize is to prove and to givethem the right information.

Online Reservation and Payment System will automate the major resortoperations and finance. The first subsystem is a Reservation and Booking System tokeep track of reservations, room, equipment, boat and dive master availability. Thesecond subsystem is the Payment or Billing System which captures the customer¶scapability to have a transaction online which requires minimal human intervention andtime constraints. . The third subsystem is a General Management Services and

Automated Tasks/Scheduling System which generates reports to audit all resortoperations and allows modification of subsystem information. These three subsystems¶functionality will be described in detail in section 2-Overall Description.

These are the end users for the Online Reservation and Payment System. Theend users are the resort staff (customer service representative ) and hotel managers andaccounting staff. User types can access the Reservation and Booking System and thePayment or Billing System. The General Management System will be restricted tomanagement users.

Reservation and Payment System¶s objectives are to provide a system tomanage a resort that has increased in size of customers. Without automation themanagement of the resort has become an unwieldy task. The end users¶ day-to-day

jobs of managing a resort will be simplified by a considerable amount through theautomated system. The system will be able to handle many services to take care of allcustomers in a quick manner. The system should be user appropriate, easy to use,

Page 15: Team Inevitable!

8/6/2019 Team Inevitable!

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/team-inevitable 15/88

provide easy recovery of errors and have an overall end user high subjectivesatisfaction.

Online Reservation and Payment System is designed to manage all typesof resort bookings and reservation, made directly by guests, clients and customers. Its

powerful resort reservation, marketing & merchandising features gives the ability tocontrol dynamic room or tour allotments, distribute confidential trade rates, provide varying rates and commissions, multiple seasons, distributing last minute rates,multi-currency including the euro and so much more. The hotel reservation system willallow to dynamically controlling most of hotel reservation without the need for another trained staff.

Online Reservation and Payment System is limited with the following conditions:

y Travel Agency and Plane Ticket booking is not susceptible to the resort offeredpackages.

y Life insurances are not included to the package and accidents that are notrelated to resort activities is beyond the resort management¶s responsibility.

y Inadequate credit funds are beyond the Online Reservation and PaymentSystems accountability.

Assumptiony Online Reservation and Payment Systems would help the enterprise identify and

target potential clients and generate leads for the sales team

y End-user¶s recognition that service is an important factor in attracting andretaining customers, organizations are increasingly turning to technology to helpthem improve their clients¶ experience while aiming to increase efficiency andminimize costs

y Online Reservation and Payment System can be complemented and augmentedwith links to separate, purpose-built applications for analytics and businessintelligence

y

End-user¶s development and adoption of these tools and services have fosteredgreater fluidity and cooperation among sales, service, and marketing.

y The company¶s inability to maximize the resources and capacity that is offered bythe Online Reservation and Payment System.

y End-user¶s lack the capability to subscribe the required knowledge on makinguse of the entire system process.

Problems and Recommendation

One problem that we have recognized is the companies Poor Marketing Reach . As we learn from the employees of the resort, most of the clients in Summer Cruise andDiving Corporation are friends of the owner in which he ask for to visit the resort, some

Page 21: Team Inevitable!

8/6/2019 Team Inevitable!

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/team-inevitable 21/88

are Japanese Expatriate (ex-pat ) employees who wish to spend their time in San LuisBeach House. The employees also share that most of the clients that they areentertaining everyday learn about the Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation not by aMagazine Advertisement or on Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation¶s websiteinstead by the boatmen in the area.

Another is the Acknowledgement of weather turbulence. Just like any other placein the Philippines, Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation is experiencing the vastchange in the environment especially now that Climate Change immensely affecting theecosystem. In line with this, weather forecasting in the Archipelago is greatly affectedthrough the change in the climate. Philippine Atmospheric Geo-Physical, AstronomicalSociological Agency (PAG-ASA ) is experiencing changes in predicting and monitoringLow Pressure Area within the Philippine Responsibility.

Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation already have a deployed Website that is

Maintain by the Owners friend which most international customers visit from time totime. In this case, after the foreign customers had check the packages and somereviews from the said Site and was interested on the said service still they couldn¶t availbecause there is no dedicated Billing site in Summer Cruise and Diving Corporationwebsite.

Also, The Process of Dive Master Scheduling for the Customer is basically basedon a SMS mode where the Operation staff for Travels would Text the Dive Master andstate that he have a Schedule for an Open Water dive, whether the Dive Master Receive it or not, she wouldn¶t care less and these causes delays because of

insignificant circumstances related to the Dive Master¶s no show on the said schedule.

This divergence result to substandard services that are being served to thecustomers. The rate of satisfaction is tarnished since customers don¶t feel beingprioritized and cared for.

For our analysis we think of a way to crack these predicaments and made the followingproposals:

First, Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation should maintain and support their Sales and Marketing Staff on incorporating a System which can help promote relationswith previous and future Customers by integrating an Online Reservation and PaymentSystem that will surely boost the Company Sales.

Second, Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation should have coordination with aLocal or International Weather Site where Clients and Support employees can monitor the changes in the environment for the Customers safety.

No Confirmation of Payments

Because Payments are done once theclient is here in the Philippines andready o avail Summer Cruise and Diving Corporation service. Last minutecancellation or a No-show is big turnover since the food is already cooked and therooms are already reserved.

Summer Cruise and Diving Corporationshould have a deployed Billing or

Payment Module on their Website for Customer to directly communicate to

them and attest satisfaction by providingconvenience for the Customer

No Dive Master Scheduling

Summer Cruise and Diving Corporationwould have its dedicated feature that

once the System End-User assign their Dive Master, the System will

automatically send an alert to the DiveMaster Mobile Phone and the schedulewill be easily track since the customer will be receiving a notification thru textand mail about the confirmation of the

transaction

Substandard Services Summer Cruise and Diving Corporationwill be benefited by implementing a

V. IT Infrastructure

Network Diagram

The Clients workstations are the dedicated mainframe machines use by Summer Cruiseand Diving Corporation Employees to employ the Online Reservation and PaymentSystem. The Online Reservation and Payment System also need a Database server since a database server usually permits multiple users to access a database at thesame time in a methodical way. An additional benefit of a database server is its speedand scalability. It isn¶t totally true to say that a database provides faster searching of data than a spreadsheet or a custom file system. A router on the other hand is goodespecially for more than one computer; a router will let the company share resourcesamong them. Firewall is primarily used to protect the boundary of an organization¶sinternal network whilst it is connected to other networks (e.g. to the Internet ), firewallsare filters that filter any information passing from and into the computer when they aresurfing the Internet.

A secure web page will bepresented and served by their card

issuer as part of the paymentprocess. The cardholder must enter their password on this page where it

Risk of ExplosionWhen Using

Enriched Air Nitrox

Because the use of enriched air nitrox involves the manipulation

of gasses containing higher percentages of oxygen (anextremely flammable and

explosive gas ) than normal air, some precautions are necessary.Pure oxygen is often used when

mixing enriched air nitrox.

Any equipment that comes in contactwith pure oxygen must be ³oxygen

cleans´ ± meaning that speciallubricants and materials must be used

to avoid an explosive reaction.

Enriched Air NitroxIncreases the Riskof Oxygen Toxicity

One dangerous symptom of oxygen toxicity is uncontrollable

convulsions, which in divingusually leads to loss of the

regulator and death by drowning.

To reduce the risk of oxygen toxicitywhen using enriched air nitrox, scubadivers must monitor both their depthand total exposure to oxygen over a

series of dives. Because an individualdiver's tolerance to elevated

concentrations of oxygen varies, training organizations set extremely

conservative limitations for depth andoxygen exposure time when using

enriched air nitrox. A diver who carefullyfollows these conservative rules haslittle reason to fear oxygen toxicity.
