Ramanujan College is a constituent College of the University of Delhi. The College hasbeen accredited Grade “A” by the NAAC in its First Cycle. The College is inspired by thelife and work of Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan, one of the world’s greatestmathematicians. Its vision is to “Discover, Empower, Transform: Building A BetterWorld”.The College offers sixteen undergraduate programmes. It was awarded the DDUKAUSHAL Kendra in 2016 by the UGC, under which two vocational courses werestarted in Banking Operations and Software Development.Ramanujan College offers short-term diploma, certificate, and executive developmentprogrammes on contemporary and skill-oriented themes to complement the regulargraduation courses. It also conducts courses on Human Rights, Environment andEthics through its National Resource Centre (NRC), under the Annual RefresherProgramme in Teaching (ARPIT) scheme of MoE. This Course was uploaded on MoE’sMOOCs platform SWAYAM and many participants registered for it.The College is also the Study Centre of School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-CollegiateWomen Education Board (NCWEB) and Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) for various courses. Through its Teaching Learning Centre, the College hassuccessfully conducted more than hundred programmes since October 2017 andtrained approximately one lakh 30 thousand particp across the country.
The Add-on Course seeks to cultivate a critical and inter-disciplinary approach to thereading of literary texts that are ubiquitous in English curriculums across the country.In a world where the abundance of information and the dearth of wisdom co-exist, it isimperative for literature students to revisit texts from the prism of emerging criticaltrends like eco-criticism, digital humanities, subaltern studies, queer theory, and thelike. Add-on courses like this aim to augment this classroom process of un-learningand re-learning. Now, in most classrooms the learning process tends to culminate atthe stages of imparting and acquiring knowledge. However, comprehensive learninginvolves a third and final step- that of being able to present that learning in a lucidmanner. Hence, this course will include two lectures on writing, from both theresearch and exam point of view. Additionally, the need of the hour demands thatliterature students be well-versed in multi-media skills which will make the work ofthe young scholars more current and relevant. Short instructional videos on theseskills have been added to this integrated course for the same purpose.

Registration is mandatory for all the participants and are open till 19th October 2021.The Course is meant only for students. The Undergraduate and Postgraduate studentscan register for this course. The registration fee is Rs1000. It is non-refundable.After successful registration & payment at https://rcmoocs.in/, you will receive aconfirmation via email.The confirmation email may get into your email spam folder.Once the registration is confirmed, further information will be communicated via atelegram group. You are therefore requested to install Telegram App from PlayStore/App Store.The link of the official Telegram group will be shared in the confirmation email.Graded certificates will be awarded on the basis of the assessments during the add-oncourse.All the participants will have to fill and submit online feedback forms.The Course will run on Learning Management System (LMS) portal and is a self pacedcourse. The lectures can be accessed at any point of the day. The course will be archived after one month. Participants will have to ensure internet facility at their end.
