Online applications are invited with effect from 28.05.2017 to 09.06.2017 from IndianNationals having permanent residence in Tripura for selection to the post of "Post Graduate Teacher(For Class XI-XII)" under Secondary Education Directorate, Education (School) Department,Government of Tripura. All posts are Permanent. Subject-wise Vacancy position is as follows:

The number of vacant posts may increase or decrease following requisition of the concerneddepartment.

1. EssentialMinimum Qualification:(a) Post Graduate degree with at least 50% marks in relevant subject (or its equivalent) from

recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from NCTErecognised institution.OR

(b) Post Graduate degree with 45% marks in relevant subject and obtained B.Ed degree (asper NCTE Regulations, 2002 or NCTE Regulations, 2007) from NCTE recognizedInstitutions.

OR(c) Post Graduate degree in relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from

recognized university and B.A. Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. from any NCTErecognised institution.

NB: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed to the candidates belongingto SC/ST/PH category.

2. Age: Up to 40 years as on 27.05.2017. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PHand Government Servant provided that government employees belonging to SC/ST/PHcategory shall not get relaxation over and above general relaxation of 5 years available tothem. Upper age limit is also relaxable for Ex-Serviceman (ESM) as per norms.

However, as per direction of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, dated 29.03.2017 inSLPNo. 18993-19049/2014, the candidates who have participated in the selection processpursuant to the advertisements dated 23.09.2009 & 27.01.2010 of Education (School)Department, whether Selected or not will be allowed to participate in the selection processby relaxing their age but subject to their having necessary qualification. Such candidates haveto produce their call letters issued by the Department when asked by the Board.

3. Pay: Rs. 10,130/- fixed per month (against Pay scale Rs. 5700-24000/- with grade pay Rs.4200/- subject to revision by the government from time to time.)

4. Equivalency of a Degree: Equivalency of a Degree (Post Graduate etc) will be ascertained byEquivalence Committee formed vide Notification No. F.1. (1-50) -SE /E (NG)/2015 dated20.08.2016 by Education (School) Department, for example whether or not M.Sc. NuclearPhysics is equivalent to M.Sc. Physics will be determined by Equivalence Committee.Candidates claiming equivalency of degree will be allowed provisionally to appear at the"Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher- 2017". Such candidate must apply to the Boardwithin zz" June 2017 along with self attested photocopy of the Mark sheet of the degreefor which the candidate is claiming equivalency. Application thus received will beforwarded to the Equivalence Committee for decision and decision of equivalentcommittee will be final.

If a candidate applied for STPGTaod secures a mark enough to be recommendedfor recruitment, but the Equivalence Committee has given decision that she/he does nothave an equivalent degree required for the post for which he/she applied, his/ hercandidature will be rejected and his / her name will not be recommended for to theconcerned department for recruitment.

5. Procedure of online Submission of Application:

- Online Application can be submitted by logging on to the official website of Teachers'Recruitment Board, Tripura www.trb.tripura.gov.in. Follow the steps given below:

a) Log on to TRBT'sofficial website at www.trb.tripura.gov.in.Click on the link "apply online".b) Candidates are to register a fresh and create a profile. After registration they must note

down the registration number. This registration number will be USER NAME for thecandidate.

c) Candidates must give all particulars correctly while registering themselves. Any wrong/falseinformation will lead to rejection/cancellation of candidature at any stage.

d) After registration, first time login can be done by using the date of birth of the candidate aspassword in DD-MM-YYYYformat.

e) Candidates are advised to change password after first time login.f) Candidates are instructed to remember the password correctly and not to disclose it to

anyone.g) Login with the registration number as USERNAME and password as set by you.h) To apply for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (for class XI-XII) Click on "Selection Test for

Post Graduate Teacher-Session-2017" in applicant's home page.i) While applying online the candidate must ensure that he/she understands and fulfils the

norms of eligibilitv. ~

j) Before applying online please ensure to have the following documents/files for uploading:• Scanned image of recent passport size photograph of candidate (Size: Greater than 4 KB

less than 100 KB).

• Scanned image of full signature of candidate (Size: Greater than 4 KB less than 20 KB).• Images should be in JPEGformat only.

k) Candidates can choose his /her subject from the dropdown box as per as per the postgraduate degree obtained by the candidate. Subject once chosen cannot be changed.

I) Feesto be remitted only through system generated challan.m) Candidates are instructed to insert working mobile phone number and e-mall address.n) Candidates are instructed to deposit fees in any Branch of SBI (on every working day) after 72

hours (on every working day) from the date of finalisation of her/his online application andmust submit payment details into the link as provided. Candidates can get ApplicationAcknowledgement downloaded after 3 days of providing payment details. Preserve theApplication Acknowledgement for future reference.

0) Candidates are instructed to finalise the process of online submission of application withinstipulated date. If payment is received after stipulated date, Application Acknowledgementpage/ admit card will not be generated.

Candidate must be very careful regarding uploading of photographs and signature.Application Acknowledgement and Admit Card will not be generated if any irrelevancy is noticed inimage of signature and photograph of candidate.

7. No objection Certificate: Those who are employed must submit at the time of certificateverification "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) issued by the competent Authority of the Department/Agency where he/she is currently employed. It will be presumed that all such candidates who applyfor the post has obtained NOC from the competent authority stating that the Department/Agencyhas no objection if he / she join the post applied for.

Those who get employed after submission of online application must also submit NOC issuedby competent authority. Candidature of a candidate will be rejected if he/she fails to produce NOC.Those who are un-able to submit NOCwill be summarily rejected from the selection process.

Test8.Selection Method: The selection will be done on the basis of Mark obtained in "Selection

for Post Graduate Teachers -5e55;on-2017" subject to verification of cermka~

correctness of information given by the candidates in the online application form. Candidates will beresponsible for correctness of all particulars as furnished in the online application form. In case ofany subsequent detection of false or defective information or suppression of facts, even afterselection / appointment, his/ her candidature will be summarily rejected. Candidature of Candidates,who submit online application, disregarding the eligibility/minimum educational qualification/othercriteria/ terms and conditions etc as laid down in this notification and in the "Prospectus cumInstructions: Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher (STPGT)2017", will be rejected. Candidatesmust fulfil all eligibility criteria / terms and conditions of this notification and "Prospectus cumInstructions Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher (STPGT)2017". Candidates will be invited forcertificate verification depending on the number of post as requisitioned by the concerneddepartment.

When two or more candidates obtain same marks, relative position would be judged in termsof seniority of date of birth of the candidates. In case date of birth is same then seniority of the dateof obtaining requisite academic qualification for appearing in the said examination would be judged.Senior candidate will be given preference. In final case, if required; the percentage of marks in thequalifying examination (academic) will be taken into consideration and preference will be givenwhose percentage of marks is higher.

9. Certificate Verification: Number of Candidates invited for certificate verification will bemore than the actual number of posts requisitioned by concerned department. Invitation forcertificate verification will be from amongst the candidate who obtains at least cut off mark which is35% (52 out of 150) for unreserved category candidate and 30% (45 out of 150) for SC/ST/PHcategory candidates. Candidates who remain absent on the scheduled date of certificate verification,his/her candidature will be summarily rejected. Candidates must have Permanent Resident of TripuraCertificate (PRTC). So, all candidates invited for certificate verification may not be recommended forrecruitment as the recommendation will be based on the actual number of vacant posts. Markobtained in the test will be the only criteria for preparation of merit list. No candidate will berecommended for recruitment who obtains below cut off mark. Securing cut off mark or inviting acandidate for certificate verification will not entitle him/her any right for selection to the post forrecruitment. At the time of certificate verification a candidate must bring original copies of allcertificates/ mark sheets of academic and professional qualification, PRTC, Admit card ofmatriculation as proof of age, Caste certificate (if any), PH certificate (if any), Certificate of Ex-Serviceman (if any) and "Application Acknowledgement" of online application, Admit card of STPGTalong with two set of self attested photocopies of all these documents. Candidates are required toproduce one photo bearing identity card in original like, AADHAAR Card / PAN Card / Passport /Driving License/Caste Certificate / Physically Handicapped Certificate / PRTC/ Bank PassBook / EPIC(Voter I Card) at the time of certificate verification.

10. Examination Fee: 'BOO/- for Unreserved Category and ~200/- for SC/ST/PH category. Fee oncepaid will not be refunded. Fee must be paid through system generated challan within the scheduleddate. Candidature of a candidate will rejected if TRBTdoes not receive the fee for whatsoever reason.Application will not be accepted if the fee is deposited after the scheduled date as mentioned in thisnotification and fee once paid will not be refunded.

11. Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates: Candidates having disability such as Blind or LowVision (Partially Blind), Partially Deaf and Locomotors Disability (Ortho) can only apply under PHcategory. The percentage of disability must be 40% or above.

IMPORTANT:Candidates to ensure their eligibility for the post. Candidates applying for a post should

ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for selection to the post. Selection is subject toverification of certificates and correctness of information given by the candidates in the onlineapplication form. Candidates will be responsible for correctness of all particulars as furnished in theonline application form. Their admission to all the stages of the selection process will be purelyprovisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of APPIV-

Acknowledgement or Admit Card to a candidate will not imply that his/ her candidature has beenfinally cleared by the Board. Similarly getting invitation for certificate verification will not entitle acandidate any right for selection to the post for recruitment. In case of any subsequent detection offalse or defective information or suppression of facts, even after selection / appointment, his/ hercandidature will be summarily rejected. Candidature of Candidates, who submit online application,disregarding the eligibility/minimum educational qualification/other criteria/terms and conditionsetc. as laid down in this notification and "Prospectus cum Instructions Selection Test for PostGraduate Teacher (STPGT)2017", will be rejected. Candidates must fulfil all eligibility criteria /termsand conditions of this notification and prospectus cum instructions. TRBT'sfunctions are limited up toselection of candidates for a particular post and recommend it to the concerned department. Therecruitment will be done by the department and TRBTshall not be held responsible for recruitment.

Candidates must be in possession of minimum required qualification and mark sheet(s)/certificate of the academic and professional qualification as on the last date of submission ofapplication as mentioned in this notice.

The candidates must note that the Teachers' Training Degree obtained by them is from theInstitution recognised by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). However, if any dispute isnoticed/reported at any stage regarding the recognition status of the institution from where thecandidate obtained the Teachers' Training Degree or if it is found that a candidate does not fulfil anyof the eligibility and recruited on the basis of false/forged/fake certificate/qualification/inadvertenterror, the Board will recommend the concerned authority to take appropriate action against suchcandidate.

The Syllabus of the test is available with the website of TRBT.

Assessment and Evaluation of the answer scripts (OMR Sheets) done by the Board shall befinal and shall not be open to scrutiny by any external authority.
