Teacher’s Rights Student’s Rights
To be in a clean, organized, safe, and positive classroom environment where respect is established, participation means listening and paying attention during instruction, and develop objective-driven lessons.
Students have the right to a safe, to voice your opinion, to use materials, art supplies, and equipment appropriately, to be treated fairly, and to an exceptional Art Education.

To be responsible for providing exceptional art instruction in a clean, organized, safe, and positive classroom environment that challenges each student's creativity and inspires them to reach his our her full potential.
To follow safety rules, to respect the opinions of others, to take care of all school materials, to treat others fairly, and to maintain a flexible mindset while creating your Art.
1. Procedures
Introduction to Lesson: 1-Arrive on time, 2-sit quietly at your assigned seat, 3-pass out sketchbooks and portfolios, attendance, and 4-listen to instruction. Begin working on project.

End of Unit: 1-Arrive on time, 2-sit quietly at your assigned seat, 3-pass out sketchbooks and portfolios, attendance. Artwork checklist, Artist's statements, and Lesson assessment-What did you learn? What was the purpose of the project? How do you know that you understand it?

CONDUCT GRADES
There will be a point system that will encourage student accountability and reinforce student ownership of his or her behavior and learning.
Students will earn 25 points daily for being Prompt, Prepared, Productive, Polite, and following the Art rules and expectations.
The following characteristics are evaluated:
Respect/Courtesy: Respects others and uses good manners.
Dependability: Demonstrates honesty and reliability
Personal Habits: Exhibits self- control, conforms to school regulations and the Code of Behavior, and respects the rights and property of others.
Cooperation: Works for the mutual benefit of the group and the student is willing to assist others. Students receive the following grades:
O- Outstanding: The student consistently practices these traits
S- Satisfactory: The student normally practices these traits
U- Unsatisfactory: The student does not practice these traits to an acceptable degree.

Students are given significant amount of time to complete each project. If projects are not completed by the due date, students will receive a C for incompletion of following criteria.
If student is absent or late, it is the student's responsibility to speak to me in regards to making up missed work. Grades will be posted weekly unless there are technical issues.
