    Tribute to the GURUSTeachers day celebration in MANIT

    A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others. Teachers Day is a

    tribute to the hard work and devotion of the teachers all year long, to educate a child. In India,

    teachers day is celebrated on 5th of September every year. Indian Teachers Day is dedicated to

    Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a zealous advocate of education and one of the greatest

    scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the first Vice President and the second

    President of India. As a mark of respect to this phenomenal teacher, his birthday came to be

    observed as Teachers Day in the country.

    Students of MANIT Bhopal on this auspicious occasion organized a cultural event on the theme

    GURUKUL so as to revive the relationship between a student and teacher which prevailed in

    earlier times and is fading these days. The students welcomed the teachers with a TILAK and

    presented roses and diaries to them as a token of love and admiration. The cultural club

    ROOBAROO of Manit organized the program which began with a Saraswati Vandana following

    a performance by the band Raydens choir on the songmadari.Accompanying this a solo

    song was sung by Rajesh Pal and group. Students displayed various form of dancing like

    freestyle, hip-hop, tollywood which amazed the crowd. I am very proud of the students to host

    such a great event to thank us, whatever I am today is because of the foundation laid by my

    teachers says GANGA AGNIHOTRI Dean Academics MANIT.

    The program became more melodious by song sung by final year student Rohit Kumar. I really

    enjoyed all the cultural activities that the student prepared for us, the crowd is very energetic

    says Dr. Appu Kuttan k.k, Director MANIT.The Mime act on generation gap performed by

    Shabbir Qaizar captivated the crowd.Mimicery of various actors like Nana Patekar, Sunny Deol,

    Aamir Khan was done by group of students.Anupama Sharma, student advisor gave vote of

    thanks to the faculty and the students

    The Director concluded the programme by launching the official website of Technosearch,

    technical fest of MANIT to be held in October.

    TECHNOSEARCH, Central Indias largest technical fest will be organized by Manit .The various clubs and

    students of the college prepare a planned structure of various technical events .The fest is both for inter

    and intra college students in which the youth participate with full spirit of competition.
