The Korean education system is split into a 6-3-3-4 structure (elementary, middle, high and university).

Academic calendar year: March - February

● Summer break during August● Winter break in January

English is a mandatory subject.

● Elementary school: Grades 3 and 4, 2 hrs/wk● Elementary school: Grades 5 and 6, 3 hrs/wk● Middle school: 4-5 hrs/wk● High school: 5-6 hrs/wk

EPIK is offered to native English speakers seeking to make a deeper and lasting impact on English education in Korea as full-timeguest English teachers. Positions are available in metropolitan and provincial locations, from primary through secondary schools nationwide.

EPIK was established in 1995 as part of the Ministry of Education’s initiative to enhance the national English education curriculum.From co-teaching with licensed Korean teachers to independently exploring the country, EPIK is a rewarding experience for those pursuing a future in teaching English as a foreign language.

Teach and Learn in KoreaGet a transformative cultural experience through TaLK!

TaLK is a scholarship program for individuals seeking to gain experience focusing on service-learning and cultural education. Positions are offered to college students and recent graduates who are comfortable working with children of ages 6 to 12.

Since 2008, TaLK has been providing educational support to public schools with limited access to English language resources. Program participants engage in cross-cultural exchange with the locals, instruct in a rural setting and are provided with opportunities to take part in various activities to broaden their knowledge of Korea.
