Home of the Fighting Chromebooks Bulldogs Today is Monday, September 10, 2018 Any students wishing to audition for the fall play “The Curious Savage,” should attend an informational meeting Thursday, September 13 during Learning Opportunities. At the meeting we will discuss what the show is about, who the characters are in the show and what to expect in the audition process. We will also distribute audition materials for students to take home. Auditions for the show will be September 18-20 after school with call backs being held September 21 after school in the Auditorium. Please sign up for an audition slot through Mr. Batko's website located on the THS website. See Mr. Batko if you cannot make the meeting to receive your audition materials. Results from the Tavares Idol auditions will be posted today after school on the Chorus Room doors located in Building 1 room 1-110. Students who made the show must attend the after school rehearsal on Wednesday, September 12 at 1:30 in the THS Auditorium. The show will be performed on Thursday, September 13 at 6:00 PM. All students are invited to attend and vote for our first Tavares Idol winner! Votes are $5.00 and all proceeds go to support the Chorus and Theatre Department. GUIDANCE

F.A.F.S.A Workshop is scheduled for October 10th in the Media Center at THS from 6-8 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend with their students and get assistance on completing this application. The event is sponsored by Take Stock in Children and is open to all THS Seniors as well.

To qualify for the epithet, you merely need to be up-to-date in dress and manners. Most definitions don't specify it, but dapper is applied far more often to men than to women. It's probably from a Dutch word meaning "nimble" or "stout."
