Anders Myklebust, Managing Director, Egersund Net

When moving some of our production to Taurage, our goal was that the Egersund name should become part of the industry in the area for a long time to come. It was its combination of proximity to Klaipeda’s sea-port and Palanga airport, the region’s highly qualified talent and the green energy options available which led us to choose Taurage as the perfect location for our business. ,,

The region offers an established and experienced production base for the key industries of agriculture and food processing.

The region is conveniently located, with well-developed infrastructure: Tauragė offers direct entry to Kaliningrad (Russia), as well as a developed private industrial park which is currently home to a number of international businesses, including companies from Scandanavia and the US.

Green energy (from biomass, wind power, hydro energy, and solar systems) is produced widely within the region, ensuring reduced heating costs for local businesses.
