• Census Bureau 2000 is the most recent full census and the baseline for data for upcoming proposal

• Must compare apples to apples

• Don’t mix surveys or stats

– U.S. Census Bureau www.census.gov

– Click on American FactFinder– Click on Data Sets– Select Census 2000 Summary

File 3 Sample Data– Click on Detailed Tables– Choose geographic type (e.g.

zip code, county, nation)– Click NEXT– Then do KEYWORD search

(e.g. income, education)– Select which table you want
