Dear Families & Friends, Assembly will be on Monday, 18th February at 9:00 am. Thank you to the people who came to the P & C Meeting. It was a good meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. Cakes and slices are needed for Saturday, 23rd March for the election. Plus we will need some volunteers for the BBQ, to sell raffle tickets, slices etc at the Election stall. A few hours is all we ask. The P & C subsidise your children for many activities throughout the year - eg: tennis, camp, swimming and ukulele to name a few. Help in return will be greatly appreciated. Our students are going well, they are happy and enjoying each other’s company. They are right into skipping and taking turns and looking after one another. Great life skills. The classes are enjoyable and students are producing great work. Please let the school know changes to home arrangements or if you are running late. The teachers are happy to help out. We always look after the students, they are our priority. The Swimming Carnival was a great event with all the students having a fantastic time. Parents will be notified if children are eligible for the PSSA Swimming Carnival. Kind Regards, Liza Duncan Principal

K-1-2 KIRRALONG CLASSROOM What a fantastic time we had at the Small Schools Swimming Carnival last Friday. Congratulations to all the students who competed in the races, including the “Iron Kids” - an amazing effort. In Literacy this term we are focusing on Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes and the different elements of each. We have looked at different versions of “Jack and the Beanstalk” and we even created our own drawings of the beanstalk. In History, we are looking at families and how different people/nationalities have different names for their family members. Homework started this week and is due on Fridays, however, readers are encouraged to be read every day and changed everyday, if you would like.
