1. TI-84 Silver Plus’s for all math students
2. Ceiling mounted projectors in the entire school
3. 3 dedicated TI-Navigators in our building
4. 3 grants and the only school in CO to attend the Microsoft Innovative Teachers Forum in 2007

“Census At School is a non-profit project funded by organizations interested in promoting good use of statistics and data handling.” Students can participate and use their own data for math classes.

Activity Center • The same data from
quick poll can be collected in the activity center and disseminated back out to the class via a list (existing activity lists).
• 0 means “not at all” and 1000 means “very important”.

Lists in Activity Center
Collecting Data• Open Activity Center• Click contribute > lists>
configure• Choose L1 > click ok • Check the lists from
calculator box• Start the activity and
have students send list by pressing zoom
Returning List• Configure again• Send existing lists back
to each calculator
Screen Capture
• The screen capture feature can take a snapshot of the class at any one time.
• The shot can be saved as a jpeg.

Forms are easy to set up
Input the name and the list that you want it sent to:
Importing large lists into Navigator
• Copy a list in Excel• Paste it into TI-Interactive• Export to computer and save as a list to the
desktop• Open Navigator• Go to load > load lists> browse for the list

• Consider RSS Feeds• Really SSimple SSyndications• Used for frequently updated info• Good for news!• Also for updated statistics• Think of filtered updates• You need an aggregator or feed reader to read these• Can be web-based or on the desktop-based
