TANTALIZE YOUR TASTE BUDS
D ay tr i p o r b u i l d yo u rs to th re e n i gh ts
Tour into the World’s Largest Amish Settlement
Food is the center of the family gathering in Amish Country. The table
is the focal point of the family and meals are the central time for
fellowship. On a special day, everyone brings food to share. Women gather in the kitchen early in the day to “help
out” wherever they can – peeling potatoes, making noodles, boning the
chickens – and the talk flows’
continually. It’s in these conversations around the dinner table where the
family is cemented together.
NEW Baltic Mill Winery
Located in an original flour mill, Baltic Mill Winery
offers delectable, handcrafted wine in a breathtaking
historical setting. Upon entering the main seating and
tasting room, you’ll notice chutes and machinery that
have been preserved from the early 20th Century.
Upstairs, you’ll be transported to the past. The mill
machinery remains the focal point of the second and
third floors. The flour mill’s steam engine still rests in
the cellar where it was once used to power the milling
process all those years ago.
OPTION:
Join us as Sharon Hisrich (Two Chicks and an Oven) and
her talented culinary team create a tempting dinner menu.
As an added bonus the SugarCreek Acoustic Duo will
be our entertainment! Excellent food, wine and music
are a great recipe for a tantalizing group tour.
Zoar Village
PROGRESSIVE Dining Experience, the highlight of the
tour is meeting the "angry" gardener who yells at the
lackadaisical peonies!! Your group will dine around the
village, meeting the merchants in town as they take your
group through the village in first person period costume.
Historic Zoar Village was founded by German
Separatists in 1817 and thrived as a communal settlement
for more than 80 years. Today, the village is home to
approximately 75 families living in houses built from 1817
to present. Zoar’s historical district is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places, and was recently
named one of America’s Top 11 Most Endangered
Historic Places by the National Trust for Historic
Preservation. Dozens of village structures have been
painstakingly preserved through the collaborative efforts
of the Zoar Community Association and the Ohio
History Connection.
