We are pleased that you have expressed an interest in joining the professional staff of the Tanque Verde Unified School District. Applications are welcome and reviewed as vacancies become available. Personal interviews are conducted on an invitational basis following preliminary screening of active application files.

APPLICATION / DOCUMENTSThe application may be completed on-line, and then sent to our district either by FAX, e-mail attachment, or by regular mail. Please attach a resume with your application that indicates jobs held and a brief description of duties. Applicants are required to provide a COPY of college coursework transcripts when applying. Official transcripts will be required if you are employed in the District. Please attach three letters of recommendation, and on your application form include names and telephone numbers of former supervisors who can supply information about your professional performance, communication skills, planning skills, interpersonal relationships, initiative, leadership, teaching effectiveness, or other characteristics which relate to the desired position. It is advisable to include telephone numbers for home and work, if possible. Attach a copy of a current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP Card). This is also required when applying in our District.

CERTIFICATION / CREDENTIALSCandidates must hold or be eligible for Arizona teaching certification. Tanque Verde Unified School District seeks Highly Qualified teachers according to the Arizona Department of Education HQ standards.

Out-of-State ApplicantsInformation is available through the Arizona Department of Education Certification Unit for applicants who have completed teacher training out-of-state and hold certification from another state by calling 1.800.352.4558 or on the web at http://www.ade.az.gov/certification.

STATUS OF APPLICATION / COMMUNICATIONSAn employment application, if properly completed, will be kept active for a period of 12 months from the date of receipt unless an extension is requested in writing by the applicant. The Human Resources Department will not initiate contacts with applicants unless there is a specific reason to do so.
