This annual celebra�on is held in honor of Saint Francis Xavier, one of the greatest Chris�an missionaries to visit India. His mummified body is kept in a casket inside the cap�va�ng Bom Jesus Basilica in Old Goa, and every year people come to pray on the anniversary of his burial. The fes�val, which lasts for several days before and a�er the feast and includes a large fair, is one of the most important Chris�an events in Goa. ITB Asia 2017 welcomed its strongest ever buyer par�cipa�on across the Corporate, MICE and Leisure sectors. Since 2014, ITB Asia has experienced a 1:1 ra�o for exhibitors and buyers. Unveiling its largest exhibitors showcase yet, ITB Asia 2017 reported a spectacular 77% growth from its inaugural edi�on.
Tamarind Global hosted an ou�ng for our hotel partners across Kerala at the Andhakaranazhi Beach near Chertala in Alleppey District. Games, food and cricket and football matches ensured that a good �me was had by all!
India comes alive in December with an eclec�c mix of tradi�onal and modern fes�vals and events. In addi�on to the above, the Kumbalgarh fes�val takes place from Dec1-3, showcasing performances by folk ar�sts, and art camp, puppet show, and puppet-making exhibi�on. The popular Times Li�est features a range of discussions and book launches. The theme this year is "That Man-Woman Thing", given the recent elec�on in the US. It explores the rela�onship between men and women "across �me, place, space, profession, family, and literature". The dates are 15-17 December. Aamby Valley near Lonavala also has some ac�on on the cards - the Enchanted Valley Carnival will host over 60 DJs (including some of the biggest names in electronic music from India and interna�onally) and other ar�sts across four stages. On December 16 and 17, the Sacred Pushkar takes place in Pushkar, Rajasthan. A fes�val of "music, medita�on and yoga", the Sacred Pushkar features a range of ac�vi�es designed to provide a soulful experience.
Our events team planned and orgainsed an engagement party at the Ballroom at Grand Hya� Mumbai, for 1000 guests. The theme was an elaborate masquerade, complete with a 25 foot mask hanging over the bar. Arman and Amal Malik entertained, follwed by DJ AJ, who rocked the floor.
