Meet Robert Purdy

Robert (Bob) Purdy is the kind of person, not just driver, anyone would want to have as a coworker. Bob is quick with a smile and an anecdote that nev-er fails to brighten your day. He always places safety and the betterment of the operation as his goals, and it shows in how he approaches his job every

single day. Whether it’s pre and post trips or on-the-road safety, Bob is a model professional driver.

"When I was hired by CPC Logistics as an Operations Manager in 2003, Moen was my first account,” says Ken Pruitt, CPC Division Manager. “One of the first drivers I met and did a ride-along with was Bob Purdy. It became apparent to me very quickly that even though I had my CDL and had worked in transporta-tion for over 10 years, Bob knew more than I probably ever would!” Ken continues, “Bob has been someone I can count on to get honest answers to important questions. An even greater asset to his absolute professionalism is his sincerity and integrity. Regardless of the topic, Bob doesn’t just talk-the-talk, he walks-the-walk. I am better at my job for having worked with Bob for over 18 years."

On September 29, 2021, Bob will celebrate 35 years of service with CPC Logistics. He is assigned to the Moen, Inc. account in Kinston, North Carolina. Rob Sonnenberg, Senior Manager of Truckload Operations for Moen commends Bob for being a solid, profession-al driver. He states, “Bob makes safety and keeping the freight moving his top priority. When I am in town and our paths cross, I always look forward to talking with Bob. He is not shy and gives it to me straight. He is always respectful, and he always has a good story to add to our conversations. Bob’s opinion is highly regarded when reviewing new equipment and lanes.”

Maybe it is the delivery of product that keeps the plant running allowing others to keep working so that they can feed their families. Or maybe it is the delivery of auto or equipment parts that

allows the dealer to get someone’s car or farm equipment fixed so they can go about their daily routine. It could be a load of paint that lets the Owner/Dealer make the additional sales to keep his business going forward. Or perhaps it is hospital supplies that are essential to the health of the patients. Whatever it is,

everything you deliver makes a difference to someone.CPC has been in business for over 48 years, and we are blessed to work with some of the finest peo-ple we have met that daily get in the truck, drive it safely, and make their delivery or pick-up, often with a smile on their face, never knowing the full impact their service has on others. We are all thankful and
