General English Course - ATC Languages School
MALTA 1-5 JULY 2019
Fluency and English Language Development for Educational Staff
From 1 to 5 July 2019 the teachers Messercola Cinzia and Pistilli Barbara attended the course "Teaching English to very
young learners" in the Alpha School of Malta.
Our class was composed by two Irish teachers and three Italians.
Our teacher was Maltese and her name was Maria Mifsud
She talked us about the use of a range of visual clues which allow young learners to understand key instructions in the english language. Then we developped ideas about what could be delivered to young learners and she explained us the importance of repetition of the same words for many times.

A particularly rich week from the educational point of view.
The school that hosted us prepared a detailed program for us that allowed us to take part in numerous activities that took place in classes with children of various age groups.
We found the activities they carried out thanks to the use of new technologies particularly interesting. Robotics and coding are part of their everyday life; pupils have at their disposal tablet robots and computers with which, in the form of a game, they tackle the most varied topics: from environmental education to prescription activities, from observation in nature to animated games with the use of 4d cards, etc…
