Why Young People?

Almost 1.5million young people aged 16-24 are NEETs

Significant periods of unemployment for young people has been linked to:

Longer term unemployment

Low earnings in later life

Ill Health

ACEVO project the net cost to the Treasury over the next decade as approx £28billion

Talent Match is...

• A £100 million investment aimed at helping those Young People who are furthest from the labour market

• An investment into our belief that with targeted and appropriate support young people are able to improve their own circumstances and chances

• An opportunity to maximise the impact of our funding by gathering learning and evidence to influence and inform future approaches and policy

Up to £100 million across England to

enable young people, who are furthest from the labour market, to secure

employment or take up enterprising opportunities
