August is here. The year has seemingly flashed

by for me. Becoming Big Sir after the untimely

passing of Bill Fox challenged me and our

Branch to continue Bill's vision. We are blessed

to have a strong and committed Board of

Directors. I have the upmost respect for them as

well as past Big Sirs. Together they have made

my tenure as Big Sir a pleasant one.

With that being said, I encourage more members to seriously consider taking a

leadership position. David Baker, ( Little Sir), Bob Brown ( Little Sir, 2017),

Harold Phister (Secretary 2017) and the addition of Dennis Dix to the board

is a wonderful example of new people wanting to be part of our leadership. We

have room for others as well. Let me or anyone on the board know your

interest in learning what you can do for your Branch. You will be appreciated

and the chapter will grow because of your involvement. We can ALL benefit

by looking for members to join. In our everyday activities, we occasionally

meet a future SIR. Let's put ourselves out there and encourage these men to

take a look at our Branch. Rich Forgie will take your lead, he does a great job

as membership coordinator and director.

Shorts are optional for August. The female servers are going to pick the

"best legs". Winner gets 6 raffle tickets. All jeers to the winner are optional.

See you on the 15th.
