F L E X I B I L I T YWe support both Apple’s Mac OS X and Microsoft’s Windows operating systems. The flexibility to utilize your preferred operating system enables you to focus on preparing to enter the business landscape of tomorrow.

C O N N E C T I V I T YOklahoma Christian was among the first universities to offer students the benefits of a wireless campus, and our Wi-Fi Certified™ wireless network has continued to grow with the increased demand of mobile devices and applications, including video streaming technologies like iTunes, YouTube, and Netflix. With more than 650 wireless access points and growing, Oklahoma Christian is continuing to adapt to the bandwidth needs of a truly wireless campus.

F U N C T I O N A L I T YOC’s mobile computing program provides students with free access to many software titles, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Additional titles are

available at a significantly reduced cost. OC manages more than 75 software titles for student access from vendors like Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Autodesk, IBM, and many more.

P R I N T I N GWe have more than 100 laser printers located throughout the campus, including all academic buildings and housing areas. Color laser printing and copy systems are also available in the Beam Library.

S U P P O R TThe Office of Information Technology’s Support Central team provides support services for the mobile computing program. On-site certified hardware repair is available for some models. Our technology staff is also familiar with the software used on campus, and can assist students with software-installation questions and other common software problems. Most software-related questions can be addressed quickly, while hardware repairs are usually completed within three business days.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

C A B L E T V S E R V I C E SDue to the popularity of streaming services, OC does not provide Cable TV service to campus residence hall rooms and apartments. Students, however, can contract directly with Cox Communications for some video packages. Billing for these services is the student’s responsibility. Service is provided to TV’s in common areas.

P H O N E S E R V I C EThe university does not provide phone service to campus residence rooms. There are phones available in the residence hall lobbies and some of the study rooms throughout the housing areas.

P A R E N T A C C E S S T O S T U D E N T R E C O R D SThe Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) limits the information that the university can share without student consent. Students can grant electronic access to a parent or guardian through our online parent access site.

E M E R G E N C Y N O T I F I C A T I O NOC employs an emergency notification system to communicate with the campus during emergencies. This system will send messages via email, text (SMS), Facebook, and Twitter. Students are encouraged to ensure that their contact information is current in this system.

THE BRANCHJanuary 2020, Oklahoma Christian University opened the doors to The Branch, a new cafeteria that elevated the quality of food with an all new menu in a space flooded with natural light. A freshman entering college, who graduates in four years, will eat about 2,880 meals during that time. The quality of a campus cafeteria affects each student’s health and academic performance. OC’s student body of 2,250 consumed 91,000 eggs, 30,800 apples, 600 gallons of Ranch dressing and 85,000 cookies in the last academic year!

E A G L E B U C K SStudents have the option of purchasing Eagle Bucks with their meal plan. Eagle Bucks work like cash; they can be used in the on-campus Aguilla Grill, Chick-fil-A Express, and The Brew (OC’s coffee shop on the second floor of the Mabee Learning Center) as well as near campus at On Cue, Alfredo’s, Jimmy John’s, and Sonic. They can also be used at the on-campus Bookstore. Eagle Bucks are added to the student’s ID card. They can be added during validation or anytime by going to the Campus Dining Office. They also can be purchased online at myOC and charged to the student’s account. Leftover Eagle Bucks will transfer from the fall to spring semester, but unused Eagle Bucks will be lost at end of the summer (around August 15).

S A C K L U N C H P R O G R A MStudents who are on the go can get a sack lunch and take it with them. All they need to do is sign up with the U Dining cashier.

S P E C I A L D I E T SDoes your student have special food needs or a special diet – allergies, lactose-free diet or any other special needs when it comes to their meals? Just have them come to our office and let our staff meet their needs.

W H A T ’ S F O R L U N C H ?Join us on Twitter or Facebook, just like our students do, and we will “Tweet” you the menu for every meal: twitter.com/udining. Search U Dining and like us on Facebook and get daily updates or download U Dining’s new app for Android and Apple.

P A R E N T S E A T F R E EU Dining says come on down and see what your students are eating. Simply let the cashier know that you have a student on the meal plan and they will let you come in “on us.”
