Providing sanitizing packets for each attendee (hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, Pulse Check form and pen, small water bottle, and scratch ticket in a zip-lock bag). You must talk to your manager to schedule a time to attend a forum session. While attending Employee Forums in person is not mandatory, we’re very excited to offer live sessions and see everyone again. We look forward to your questions during the sessions and having a conversation. If you don't attend a forum in person, you are expected to watch it online when it's posted in March. Annual Employee Self-Evaluations Begin TodayAnnual self-evaluations begin today, Feb. 1.The deadline to complete your self-evaluation is Monday, Feb. 15. All Benefis employees are asked tocomplete a self-evaluation each year,excluding providers. During this AnnualPerformance Evaluation process, you canreflect on your challenges and successes from 2020. Following the self-evaluation, you will have an opportunity to meet one-on-onewith your manager to discuss your goals, strengths, and areas forimprovement. During your Annual Performance Evaluation meeting with your manager, youwill review your educational transcript, so make sure all of your requirededucation has been completed.

Kara Johnson, PMHNP, JoinsBenefis Behavioral Health Kara Johnson is a psychiatric-mental healthnurse practitioner in the Behavioral HealthUnit. While Kara recently completed her master’sdegree, she has been caring for hospitalizedmental health patients as a nurse in herhome state of Minnesota since 2012. She ison track to graduate with her Doctor ofNursing Practice degree this year. Kara enjoys exploring the outdoors, camping, and reading.

Bird is a Buddy for Hospice StaffWe’d like you to meet Buddy, a cockatoowho lifts spirits at Peace Hospice. Years ago, Buddy’s person passed away atHospice with Buddy by his side. Buddy hadnowhere to go, so he ended up becoming apermanent addition to the office and aparticular friend of Phylis, the Hospicesecretary (he is known to get an attitudewhen she’s off work). Hospice staff and volunteers work hard tohelp patients and their families deal withmaterial and spiritual concerns at the end.For some patients, a chief source of worry iswhat will become of their beloved pets.Recently another staff member took in asenior dog, enhancing her family andproviding ease for a patient. We never stop marveling at the caring hearts of our Hospice team.

Loren Solberg, Chester Solberg's son,served about 10 years on the BenefisTeton Medical Center board and is aregular donor to the BTMC Foundation.

The family of Chester Solberg, who lived outhis final years at Benefis Teton MedicalCenter, has established the SolbergFoundation to benefit improvements to thelong-term care wing at the hospital inChoteau. Chester’s children donated $40,000 fromtheir father’s farm corporation to establishthe endowment, and the Benefis TetonMedical Center Foundation contributedanother $10,000 to launch the endowment,the Choteau Acantha reports.
