•  Funding  Mechanism:  Recyclers  get  paid  for  ALL  the  CEDs  they  collect  and  recycle.  

•  CT  DEEP  approves  CERs:  Helps  to  ensure  responsible  management  of  e-­‐waste.  

•  Educa:on  &  Culture:  Awareness  &  willingness  to  collect  and  recycle  among  municipaliEes,  recyclers,  and  consumers.    

•  It’s  the  LAW:  ConnecEcut’s  law  includes  convenience  standards  and  goals  that  support  ongoing,  free,  convenient  &  accessible  collecEon  all  year,  throughout  the  state.      

 

 Image  to  the  leS  is  the  actual  happy  dance  recyclers  do  when  they  receive  payment  from  OEMs.  In  some  states,  collectors/recyclers  have  a  difficult  Eme  geVng  paid  once  OEMs  reach  their  required  pounds.
