Introduction to Tai County

Tai County Silicones specializes in the

production of silicone emulsions. Our products

are categorized into eight main categories and

these are: textile texture-altering agents

(softeners), surfactants, emulsifiers, fleecing

oil, antifoam compounds, functional silicone

emulsions, releasing agents, and additives. We

have a vast field of application including

textile, hide, rubber, plastics, electronics,

chemicals, foodstuffs, high polymer materials

and construction insulation materials, etc.

materials, silicon is the second most abundant element, second only to

oxygen. Silicon exists mainly as compounds in silicate and silica; it is

environmentally friendly and non-toxic. For these properties, Tai County

mainly uses silicone as our raw material to conform with our slogan “we

Texture-Altering Agents

(Softeners)

Texture-altering agents can be applied on T/C, CVC, PET and other

synthetic or non-synthetic fibers. Some of the functions include the

smoothness effect, elasticity altering, darkening, fullness or abundantness.

Antifoam Compounds

Defoamer/antifoam compounds can be used in dilution of emulsions and

soap/detergent anionic foam elimination, printing paste mixing, sewage treatment,

latex paint, printed circuit boards, motor related defoamer/antifoamer, and

surfactant related foams.

Fleecing Agents

Fleecing agents can be applied tofabrics such as S/P, T and T/C beforefleecing for smoothness, softness andbetter fleecing efficiency. The agentsallow fabrics to have a bouffant/puffyhand feel after fleecing, and is veryeffective in making plush dry andbouffant, especially for those withwater-absorbing needs, such as towels,knitted fabrics, acrylic fibers, T/C, ors u p e r - f i n e f i b e r s .

Releasing Agents

Releasing agents are used forefficient-cleaning releasefunction. Applied to moldrelease, it increases productionefficiency, decreases moldm a i n t e n a n c e f e e s , a n dmaintains quality lubricationbetween metal and non-metals.Some of the applicationsinclude rubber and otherplastics mold release, injectionmolding, or as lubrication forconveyor belts. In textile itcan be used as fleecing agentswith high permeability and abouffant, soft, fleecing effect.

Surfactants

Surfactants are either ionic or

anionic, and are used as surfactants,

dispersants or emulsifiers.

Our surfactants come from BASF,

the world-leading chemical

corporation. The main functions are

for silicone oil and emulsification.

Furthermore, combined with our

other products, the BASF

surfactants make excellent solvents

which are both economical and

environmentally friendly.

Emulsifiers are a type of surfactant. It is used to lower surface tension. The most commonly used index to measure emulsifying strength is the Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Base (HLB).

When HLB is low, it indicates the emulsifier is more lipophilic, and is easy to form a water-in-oil (W/O) system; when HLB is high, it indicates the emulsifier is more hydrophilic, and is easy to form an oil-in-water (O/W) system. Tai County offers 4 kinds of emulsifiers (as the pictures on the right indicate),

which are all environmentally

friendly and great wetting agents.

Additives

Tai County currently offers 4 additives; F-505 Fleecing Wax, CB ViscosityEnhancer (for emulsions), RELS Bactericide (for release), and ANTIBactericide (for defoamer/antifoamer).

The RELS Bactericide is a water-based prescription specially designed foremulsion production. The ANTI Bactericide is a widely used product designedto withstand microbe attacks in water based products, and we speciallyrecommend it for use on preservation of polymerized sol-gel, oil paint,coating, adhesives, and printing ink.

The CB Viscosity Enhancer is a high polymer compound used for releasingagents or defoamers/antifoamers to attain the required viscosity for bestperformance. The F-505 Fleecing Wax is a multi-functional mold makingagent. Its main contents are a reactant from wax and surfactants, and dissolvesrapidly in hot water. It is used in plain weave, knitted synthetic fibers orfleecing of cotton blends.

SE-8700

The SE-8700 is a releasing/mold releaseagent. It differs from traditional releaseagents in various ways. The SE-8700 canbe stored with stability in a highconcentration, and is able to disperseevenly and efficiently on any type ofmold, making the percentage of failedproducts much lower than traditionalrelease agents, and the molds do not formany carbon compounds after usage.

The SE-8700 allows molds to be cleanedby simply bathing in water. The lack ofneed for detergents eliminates chemicaldamages on the molds and would cutdown maintenance fees effectively.

LE-803

LE-803 is a highly efficient, stableand multi-purpose agent. It can beused as release agent for rubber andp las t i c s , l ub r ican t fo r rubberproduction, or as fleecing agent intextile. It can be applied straight out ofthe container, or can be diluted first.

The viscosity of this product remainsstable under high temperatures ortemperature fluctuations, does notleave residual products, whichpollutes surfaces, and has exceptionalstorage and stability due to its inertproperties. LE-803 will improve yourproduction output, minimize by-products, and increase product quality.
