WELCOME! Welcome to the Pacific Photographic Society of San Diego. We are an active hands-on photography group for all levels of photographers and for photographic expertise from novice to expert. Our emphasis is on photography in the field and the studio, as well as photo finishing, education and networking. What sets PPS apart from other photo groups is that an important part of our mission is to give back to the community by working together with a wide variety of organizations. We offer our members a wide range of photography events including monthly photo shoots at various locations, seminars, classes, educational shoots and networking opportunities with other photographers. We welcome all photographers from beginner to professional and seek to provide an environment that is friendly, professional and enriching for all. We also seek the input of our members to ensure that the group provides the activities that are both beneficial and enjoyable to participating photographers.

Event etiquette Repeatedly RSVPing YES and not showing up may lead to removal from the
group. The same goes for changing your RSVP just prior to the event without reason.
With groups of photographers shooting together, it is important to be mindful of other photographers and not to get into each other's photos or block each other's field of vision. As a rule photographers who are at a spot with their tripods get to shoot there first. It is not OK to set up in front of them. If there is limited space or a small subject, photographers should be courteous and take turns.
Organizers and Event Hosts will approach photographers who do not observe common courtesy. Members may be removed from PPS as a result. Please let us just be polite to one another.

After the shoot | 1 After each shoot, a photo album is provided for members to upload
their images. Here is the process: First, please rate the photo shoot and leave feedback before uploading
images. The feedback is used for rating our group, attracting new members and for getting sponsors for our group. If you have time to upload images, surely you have the time to write a sentence or two about the event. Second, do not upload large images for space reasons and for your
own security. 600-700 pixels maximum per side is fine and even 500 will work. Make sure you lower the resolution for your protection, 72ppi is fine. Smaller images will also load faster.
13
After the shoot | 2 Third, upload a maximum of ten images showing your best work only.
This is to give everyone an even chance in showing their work to the group. Avoid uploading images which are very similar – critique your own work and choose the best. Please do not upload images of children without permission of their parents. Inappropriate images will be removed. Fourth, please batch upload images. Upload all the images from one
event at one time. Please do not upload images one at a time as this creates an email to all attendees of that particular shoot each time you upload. Fifth, commenting on the images is encouraged. It is ok to give praise,
advice, and to use some humor. Don’t get upset over any comments you may or may not get.

How to upload your event images
