PerspectiveThis was one of my favorite projects I have done. I learned so much! I loved how this project forced me to think creatively and try different things.
My original plan did not work out, but then out of no where I saw this old, beat-up, little, red wagon. This taught me that sometimes things don’t always go as planned, and you have to get creative.
I used a 18-200 mm lens for this project so I got a really good variety of shots with different depths. In post I enhanced the colors and exposure. I also did some sharpening to bring out the details in the wagon.

MacroMacro photography is a great way to see things in an entirely new way. I believe there is great beauty in small details.
These shots I captured with a lens set at 70-100 mm. I had excellent lighting and was able to capture some really detailed shots. I love bright, vivid shots so I aimed to specifically take photos of objects with gorgeous colors.
In post I edited the photos to enhance sharpness and bring out amazing de-tails.

I love details. I think details can entirely change a photo. If not for the close-up shots in photography, so much beauty goes unnoticed.
When taking these photos, I tried to explore and think creatively. I tried getting into different positions, I used different objects, and tried a variety of angles.
In post, I used the burn and dodge tools the most when editing these images to enhance the details even more.

This was such an incredible shoot. I learned so much about creativity! I had to edit my images in post quite a bit because I took them at weird angles. Which made some of them look crooked and distorted.
Thankfully, I learned some different techniques in post which have helped me a lot. I came up with the idea for every shot.
The images of the sewing machine and piano are blended with images I took of different textures to give an abstract look.

BannackPortraits
I originally found portraits to be intimidating at first because, unlike an object or landscape, it’s a real person who may love or hate their photo. However, I learned a great deal about portrait photography with this project.
I learned that good lighting is key. Especially with portraits. I learned so much by trying a variety of lighting techniques. I now find portraits to be a little less intimidating and more enjoyable. Everyone is just so unique and I love being able to capture it.
