Dear Friends,Every day that I serve as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics here at Army West Point is a reminder that I have the honor and privilege to continue the tradition of excellence that permeates the Academy. The quality young men and women that we support continue to meet and surpass the standards set before them with courage and poise. The successes our cadet-athletes accomplish in the classroom, in leadership development, and on the fields of friendly strife are a direct reflection of our commitment to do our part to provide for them the best Division I athletic experience possible. It is important that we continue to maximize our efforts to develop the future leaders of our nation’s sons and daughters.

West Point is keen among institutions whose mission is to inspire young people to be their best, fully upholding the Academy values of Duty, Honor, Country. While our cadet-athletes absolutely strive to be better than all of our opponents, we also know that a job well done is when everyone around us is their best because of our actions. Corps squad athletes held key leadership roles in the chain of command in 2015 and three cadet-athletes received Patriot League accolades for scholar-athlete of the year. Every time our young men and women put on a West Point uniform, they inspire stadiums, rinks, and arenas full of fans across the country to do the right thing.

With 30 total programs and over 1,000 cadets now in ODIA, your support means more to Army West Point Athletics than ever before. Each donation to the Army A Club and every game ticket purchased directly impacts our ability to use the unique platform of Intercollegiate Athletics to promote the mission of the United States Military Academy. We have seen great success in working toward our fundraising and ticket sales goals in recent years, and there is much more work to be done. The current fiscal climate mandates that we pursue our mission in an ever-changing environment. As you make giving to the Academy a priority, please know your gift to the Army A Club will have a direct impact on growing the tradition of leaders of character for our Army and the Long Gray Line.

On behalf of all the young men and women that represent Army West Point at the highest level of intercollegiate competition, thank you for your continuedcommitment to promoting excellence.

Our cadets will continue to do more to make a positive impact on society andstimulate the best effort of all who are associated with the Academy.Looking ahead, 2016 promises to be a great year for Army West Point Athletics. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Be well — GO ARMY!

About the Army A Club

Their MissionArmy West Point cadets come to the United States Military Academy in pursuit of becoming a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.

Our MissionThe Army A Club is dedicated to supporting and promoting the United States Military Academy’s overall mission and the mission of Army West Point Athletics by generating financial support for the purpose of providing an extraordinary Division I athletic experience that develops leaders of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country.

It is the responsibility of the Army A Club staff to strive every day to ensure that more than 1,000 cadet-athletes have the opportunities and means necessary to accomplish all that they set out to accomplish as scholars, athletes and leaders. We cannot fulfill that responsibility without you!

How to Support Their MissionYour generous support is a crucial part of our ability to continue providing our cadet-athletes with the experience they deserve by creating the “Margin of Excellence.” There are three primary ways to support their mission:

1. Join the Army A Club for the first time or renew your membership today 2. Increase your financial support this year a. Give 110% in 2016 b. Jump to the next Army A Club membership level3. Refer your friends, family, and classmates and encourage them to get involved with the Army A Club

As a thank you for the support of the Army A Club and our outstanding cadet-athletes, members have the opportunity to receive exclusive benefits ranging from premium parking and preferred seating for home football games to invitations for Army West Point Athletics’ events. Most importantly, member’s tax deductible gifts provide the financial support necessary to enhance the cadet-athlete experience at the United States Military Academy.

“Being an athlete at West Point and having the opportunity to serve as team captain has been one of the best leadership experiences that I’ve ever had. The responsibility and expectations placed on me to lead our team and keep them together and focused regardless of the challenges or circumstances we face is invaluable. It is exactly what will be expected of me as an officer in the Army and I couldn’t ask for a better leadership opportunity to prepare me for the future.”

How Your Support Makes A DifferenceDue to significant budget constraints in an ever-changing and dynamic fiscal environment, the Office of the Directorate of Intercollegiate Athletics (ODIA) was responsible for generating 74% of our budget from external sources in 2015. External Sources include ticket sales, corporate partnerships and licensing agreements, as well as a large portion from private donations by Army A Club members. Together, the support provided by the members of the Army A Club directly impacts the ability of Army West Point Athletics to continue fulfilling its mission for more than 1,000 cadet-athletes.

Your Army A Club Dollars At WorkWhen you join the Army A Club, you are affording all of our cadet-athletes everything they need to perform at an elite level. From new uniforms and ample travel budgets, to state-of-the-art weight room facilities, unparalleled academic support and leadership opportunities, your generosity makes a tremendous impact. Below are a few examples of currently scheduled and recently completed projects that would not have been possible without the support of Army A Club members.

Department Wide: Six new refrigeration units for providing better nutritional support to our cadet-athletes

Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving, Wrestling: Renovations and upgrades to the Arvin Gymnasium training room to enhance treatment and recovery of cadet-athletes

Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Track & Field: New sod for North Athletic Field and Clinton Field to provide the safest and highest quality practice and playing surfaces available

Sprint Football, Women’s Lacrosse, Track & Field: Regraded and installed new turf at Shea Stadium

Men’s and Women’s Tennis: New scoreboard for Lichtenberg Tennis Center

Ice Hockey: New Zamboni to ensure the highest quality practice and playing surface

Men’s and Women’s Rugby: Field renovations and upgrades along with goal post repairs

Cadet-Athlete Accomplishments

The additional resources and projects highlighted on the previous page directly contribute to the results our cadet-athletes achieve both on and off the fields of friendly strife. Every Army A Club member should be proud of the impact they have on the cadet-athlete experience and the important role they play in their subsequent accomplishments as scholars, athletes and leaders.

“The new Army West Point Volleyball court is amazing. With the new logo and design, it is by far the best looking court in the Patriot League and a major upgrade in quality from the previous playing surface. It is an honor to play on such an amazing court and I am so thankful to those who made it possible.”

“I cannot think of a better way to prepare to be an officer in the United States Army than being a member of the Army West Point Athletics program. As we prepare to embark on different courses in the Army, one thing we can all benefit from is our ability to work together and support one another. I personally feel that some of the hardships I have faced with my teammates have made us all more reliable leaders and prepared us to be effective officers.”

Army-Navy GameThe history, tradition and pageantry of the Army-Navy football game is unmatched, and it is an experience you will never forget! 2015’s Army-Navy game was a great reminder of why “America’s Game” is the greatest rivalry in college football, and 2016’s edition promises to be better than ever! Among the many benefits of being an Army A Club member is the ability to purchase tickets for this extraordinary event.

The most popular Army-Navy benefits include access to club level seating and the Army-Navy hotel and gala package. Both benefits are a great way to take your Army-Navy experience to another level. You will find a more detailed explanation of these two benefits below.

Army-Navy Ticket Order Priority Deadline: Tuesday, July 12, 2016

*The quantity and location of your tickets are determined by your Army A Club membership level. Please see the Army A Club Benefits Chart on page 10 of this brochure for more information.

Army-Navy Club Level Seating* - COL Level ($1,500) and HigherOne of the most popular benefits that the Army A Club has to offer is access to club level seating for the Army-Navy football game. In addition to being some of the best seats available, club level seating provides the luxury of access to a climate controlled indoor area and other amenities that greatly enhance your Army-Navy experience.

Club Level Seating Request Only* - MAJ Level ($750) Club level seating has sold out each of the last four years. As a result, club level ticket orders for MAJ Level ($750) members are by request only. All requests from MAJ Level ($750) members will be allocated priority level tickets initially. In August, the Army A Club will determine which MAJ Level ($750) member club ticket requests will be fulfilled based on remaining club ticket inventory and priority points. All MAJ Level ($750) donors will then be notified as to whether their request has been fulfilled or not.

*Please note that club level seating is based on availability and will be allocated based on Army A Club membership level and priority points.

Army-Navy Hotel and Gala Package - CIC Level ($10,000) and HigherThe Army-Navy game package not only includes two complimentary passes to the Gala on Friday night prior to the game, but also provides you with an opportunity to reserve a room at the official Army hotel. There is no better place to stay for the Army-Navy weekend for Army fans, as the official Army hotel provides a great atmosphere and camaraderie leading up to and after the game.

The Gala is a formal dinner that brings celebrities, grads and high-ranking officials from both academies together. Complete with a cocktail hour, open bar, dinner and great atmosphere, this event is a great way to kickoff a memorable weekend.

On Beating Navy:“Winning those types of games are what you live for. You dream about the big crowd, the big stadium and beating your bitter rival. After the heartbreak of the overtime losses in the past two years, to get that win was absolutely massive. There were so many emotions flowing because we were the first team to beat Navy in 7 years. I can’t lie, I cried on the field after the final whistle. It was overwhelming after all the heartbreak we had been through in previous years. I’ll never forget that feeling of lifting that trophy with the boys in front of our fans. I can’t wait to put in the work and lift it again next year.”

“Being a part of a team at West Point has been an incredible experience. Our shared commitment and pursuit of a common goal has helped us develop a bond, togetherness and loyalty that I have never experienced. It is amazing to know each team member has my back, and that I have theirs. We never have to face anything alone. It is that same bond, togetherness and loyalty that we will need to develop with our units as officers in the Army, and I feel my experience as a cadet-athlete is preparing me for that challenge.”
