“Tabernacle Review” – Make a large red cross from felt. Place the pictures of the Tabernacle in a paperbag. Divide the class into two teams. When a child answers a review question, let him reach in the bag andpull out one picture and place it on the red cross. If it is placed in the proper place, he will earn 1,000 pointsfor his team. If it is put in the wrong place, he loses 500 points for his team, and the picture must be put backin the bag. The object of the game is to place all the furniture in the proper order, forming a cross. – Rita
Lobdell, CEF OF EASTERN PA, INC.
Review questions for TABERNACLE #6:
1. What color were the clothes of the priests? (White.) 2. What does the white linen remind us of? (Cleanness or righteousness of God.) 3. What was at the bottom of the blue robe that the high priest wore? (Gold bells and pomegranates
–a fruit that looks like an apple.) 4. What color was the ephod made of? (Blue, purple, scarlet, and gold.) 5. Describe the breastplate that the high priest wore? (It has 12 stones on it with the names of the tribes
of Israel engraved on the stones.) 6. Name two places where the high priest had the names of the tribes on his garments. (On his
shoulders where the ephod was fastened and on the breastplate.) 7. Why does the high priest have the names of the tribes of Israel on his shoulders and on the
breastplate? (The shoulders are the place of strength; the high priest prays for the people so they willbe strong in hard places. The breastplate is near the heart; it shows he loves them very much.)
8. Why were there bells on the bottom of the high priest’s garment? (When the people heard the bells, they were reminded of God, and they knew the high priest was doing God’s work.)
9. How often did the high priest wear these beautiful garments? (Every day except the Day ofAtonement.)
10. What did the high priest wear on the Day of Atonement? (A plain white robe.)11. How does the high priest, wearing a plain white robe on the Day of Atonement, remind us of
Jesus? (Jesus left the beauty of Heaven and came to earth to die for us.)12. What showed the people that God’s presence was there in the Tabernacle? (There was a cloud right

GO AND TELL BOX Week #20 – Who are the Snavelys?
(Suggested item to put in the “Go and Tell” Box – picture of bird.)
What do you think a bird has to do with going and telling? (Letthe children share their ideas.)
The bird tells me something interesting about our missionary fromwhen he was a boy. Listen closely, and you will find out why.
WHO ARE THE SNAVELYS? (Use WHO wordstrip.)
This week we will begin to talk about Mr. and Mrs. Mike Snavely. We will call themMr. Mike and Mrs. Carrie. (Show their picture.) Mr. Mike was born in South Africa, where he lived with his parents, who were also missionaries. His father was a missionarypilot. Mr. Mike asked Jesus to be his Saviour when he was a child.
Life was always an adventure for Mr. Mike because he was fascinated with animals andwould bring different ones home as pets. Some of them included: monkeys, birds, chamaeleons, and snakes. Mr. Mike uses his interest and the knowledge that he haslearned about God’s creatures when he speaks to people about God, the awesomeCreator.
Mrs. Carrie was born and grew up near Hershey, Pennsylvania. She was raised in aChristian home and asked Jesus to be her Saviour when she was just ten years old. Asa teenager, she grew in her faith and later attended Lancaster Bible College. Mr. Mikeand Mrs. Carrie now live in Jonestown, Pennsylvania which is not far from Hershey. They will be moving soon into a new home where they can have more rooms for theirmissionary projects.
LET’S PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES.
THANK God for the Snavelys and for their willingness to serve as missionaries, tellingpeople about our wonderful creator God.
PRAY that Mr. Mike will have wisdom as he prepares lessons to teach about creation. ASK God to help Mrs. Carrie as she schedules their teaching meetings.
