ABOUT MEDJUGORJE On June 25, 1981, in the mountain village of Medjugorje in Herzegovina, Our

Lady appeared to six children. She identified herself as the Blessed Virgin

Mary, Queen of Peace, and continues to appear to several of the visionaries.

Her mission is to promote peace with God and mankind, through her Son, Jesus. Mary's own words to the children explained, "I have come to tell the

world that God exists."

ABOUT ROME: Rome has been one of history's most powerful and important cities, along

with home to the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope, and the site of the Vati-

can City. First built in 337, St. Peter's Basilica lies over the tomb of St. Peter. Contained within is a vast array of the most beautiful artwork ever assem-

bled, reflecting the immensity, beauty, vastness, majesty, glory and awe-

someness of God.

Sep 29 / Day 1 - Depart USA

Board your overnight transatlantic flights from your home town. Meals are

served on board.

Sep 30 / Day 2 - Arrive Medjugorje

Early morning arrival in Europe where you will board your flights to Croatia.

Upon arrival you will find your luggage and exit the baggage claim into the

arrivals hall where you will be greeted by a tour guide and/or driver. You will be escorted to the vehicle which will then take you on the 2 1/2 hour drive to

the village of Medjugorje where you will be staying for the next seven nights.

Enjoy dinner before retiring for the evening.

Oct 1 - Oct 6 / Days 3 to 8 - Medjugorje

Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in

Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share faith with pilgrims from all

over the world. Our local guide will accompany us throughout your stay.

On 2nd of October you will be present for Mirjana Soldo's apparition.

Here are some of the activities you'll be sharing with our fellow pilgrims: Each

morning at 10am we assemble at St. James Church for the English-language Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon). Follow the path up

Apparition Hill where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Touch and

pray before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared

to the visionaries.

Each evening at 6pm join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. The

apparition takes place at 6:40 daylight savings time, and then stay on for

Croatian Mass. Don't miss on Tuesdays and Saturdays Adoration of the

Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the Church.

Each evening during Croatian Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick and

blessing of the items you have with you.

Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes pro-

vided that they are in Medjugorje during your trip, and pending their availa-

bility. We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933

the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. Visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a place of great healings and graces-

a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill. We will also visit Tihaljina

and the community of Cenacolo.

Oct 7 / Day 9 - Medjugorje -Rome

After English Mass and heartfelt farewell to Our Lady of Medjugorje, we leave

by motor coach for Split Airport where we will board our flight to Rome, Italy.

Upon arrival your escort will warmly greet you and welcome you to Italy.

Transfer to your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Oct 8 / Day 10 - Rome

This morning we depart for a sightseeing tour entitled "Christian Rome" which

includes major Basilicas and christina sights around Rome. It will include the

Basilica of St. Mary Major, one of the oldest shrines dedicated to the Blessed

Virgin, a shrine that contains a relic from the manger of the infant Jesus; the

Holy Stairs, the Basilica of St. John the Lateran, The Basilica of the St John in

Lateran, is the former residence of the popes prior to their return to Rome in 1377; St Paul Outside the Walls, which houses the remains of St Paul under

its main altar; and the Appian Way -- the oldest road from Roman times--plus

the famous Domino Quo Vadis Chapel; see the ancient Baths of Caracalla,

Arch of Drusus; Tomb of Celilia Metella, and the catacombs of St Callixtus

where the early Christians hid themselves to escape persecution. We will also

enjoy a visit to the Trevi fountain. Dinner and overnight.

Oct 9 / Day 11 - Rome (Papal Audience & Vatican Museum Tour)

Wake up in Eternal City, one of the greatest centers of Western Civilization

and the first truly cosmopolitan city on earth! It is also spiritual capital for all

the Catholics around the world. Today is truly a day we will have in our

minds for many years to come. This morning we go to Vatican City to attend

the weekly Papal Audience given by His Holiness pope ( we will find out who it

will be by Easter). Following the audience visit of the Vatican Museums, a

group of most impressive edifices with hundreds of galleries filled with art

treasures. See awe-inspiring relics and works of art donated throughout cen-

turies as tributes of faith. We'll cover The Tapestry Gallery, The Raphael

Rooms and the most overwhelming Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Master-

piece, restored mural of the Last Judgment. Later, enter the largest church in

Christendom St Peter's Basilica, built on the site where St Peter was mar-

tyred. Unsurpassed in beauty, a monument to the long history of the Catholic

Church, to which pilgrims come from around the world, St Peter's is the

grandest of the world's churches. Marvel Pieta and Bernini's amazing bronze

canopy. We will also visit the grave of Pope John Paul II located at the Vati-

can. Before dinner, we'll have some time at leisure, to explore your own

paths, to shop, or just to sit in one of the outside cafes and watch the world go by.

Oct 10/ Day 12 - Rome - Monte Cassino (St. Benedict) - San Giovan-

ni Rotondo (Padre Pio)

After breakfast we depart the Eternal City and head south east to visit the

Abbey of Montecassino, a beautiful town founded by St. Benedict in 529.

After visiting the Abbey and celebrating Mass we will continue to San Giovan-

ni Rotondo town best known for Padre Pio where we will enjoy our dinner and overnight.

Oct 11 / Day 13 - San Giovanni Rotondo - Monte Sant'Angel - San

Giovanni Rotondo

After celebrating Mass at the tomb of Padre Pio, we tour the sanctuary, see

the old church and the crucifix from which he received the stigmata in 1918.

You will see the confessional where Padre Pio spent innumerable hours with a

multitude of pilgrims, directing them on their journey toward God. Enjoy a

breathtaking view of the Cargano Peninsula and a visit to the Grotto of Mi-chael the Archangel. Six different popes, St Francis and at least four other

saints have knelt in prayer at this grotto, seeking the protection of St Michael.

A panoramic view of the ocean and the surrounding countryside awaits you at

this most celebrated shrine of early Christianity, a shrine consecrated by St

Michael himself in 490. Return to San Giovanni for devotions, reflection, and

a restful overnight.

Oct 12 / Day 14 - San Giovanni Rotondo - Lanciano - Loreto - Assisi

We will have breakfast at our hotel before we drive toward the Adriatic coast

to Lanciano where we will see the oldest Eucharistic Miracle and celebrate

Mass. Heading nother we stop in the great Marian shrine of Loreto to visit the

Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. More than 50

popes have made a pilgrimage to the house transported by angels to this hill

in central Italy in 1294. Tradition has it that this is the house in which Mary

first prayed the Magnificat, in which Jesus grew to manhood, and in which the

Holy Family lived. Continue to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis, for din-

ner and overnight.

Oct 13 / Day 15 - Assisi

Visit the tomb of St Francis. Explore the quaint hilltop birthplace of St Francis

that still retains something of the atmosphere of the early 1200s, the period

when St Francis began his ministry. Contained within the huge 13th-century

Basilica are many of the saint's possessions and a series of frescoes depicting

his life. You may kneel before the crucifix from which Jesus spoke to St Fran-

cis, asking him to rebuild His church. It was in St Mary of the Angels Basilica

where St Francis spent most of his life. Here we visit the Chapel, Portiuncola, the rose bush, and the cave where the saint retired for prayer. Stro ll the

medieval streets of the compact little town. After stopping at an outdoor cafe

with a view of an ancient Roman temple, we go to the Church of St Clare to

see the saint's incorrupt body. The foundress of the Order of Poor Clares

followed the teachings of St Francis by living a life of poverty and humility.

We will visit these two saints' tombs before dinner and retiring for the even-

ing.

Oct 14 / Day 16 - Assisi - Rome - USA

We bid farewell to a pilgrimage which will be in our memories and heart for a

long time to come. We depart Assisi for Rome Airport for our return flight to

the USA. We fondly say, Arrivederci Italia!

Neither 206 Tours and/or agents of the airlines concerned are to be held responsible for the late arrival of passengers at airports or hotels due to

lations due to acts of war and/or terrorism, war, God, or nature takes place, 206 Tours is not liable for restitution. Though every effort will be made to follow the itinerary, it should be considered as an indication of

the tour, rather than a contract of places to be visited. Occasionally local religious holidays, national days, traffic conditions and other events may necessitate changes in the sequence of visits or the missing of certain

visits. We will have daily mass and strive to be in places as indicated. However, sometimes this is not possible as the site may not be available

for Mass or itinerary changes are forced upon us. In this case an alterna-tive site for Mass will be arranged. SPECIAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS You must report any disability

requiring special attention to 206 Tours at the time of registration for any tour. We make every effort to accommodate disabled passengers by reserving for them wheelchair assistance at airports and handicap accessi-

ble rooms where available, however, we cannot guarantee and are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Be aware that all of our tours are operated

outside the U.S. where the Americans with Disabilities Act is not appli-cable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. Most transporta-

tion services, including the touring motor coaches, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifts. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to any tour participant for walking, dining, while in their room,

on flight, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion(s) must accompany travelers who need special assistance. It is the passenger's

responsibility to arrange for such assistance prior to making their reserva-tions. Motorized scooters are unsuitable and impossible to accommodate.

206 Tours is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior, during or after the tour. Additionally, airlines are not able to guarantee or provide assistance for disabled travelers including special seating. Preg-

nancy, Breast-Feeding, and Traveling Pregnant women considering international travel should be advised to evaluate the potential problems associated with international travel as well as the quality of medical care

available at the destination and during transit. A pregnant woman is advised to travel with at least one companion; during her pregnancy, her level of comfort may be adversely affected by traveling.

YOUNG TRAVELERS Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult. Due to heightened

security, many countries have adopted practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a child will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized

letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authoriza-tion to travel including the dates of travel. We also suggest you contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional
