DEAR KIDS, PARENTS & FAMILY,

It’s 80 degrees in Henryville,Pa right now. About time!! Let’s get all that grass nice and green and let’s get this party started. In just 72 days we will be greeting all the buses and you will participate in the “Ready for Camp Meter” when you get to yell really loud... Are you ready for camp?...YESSSSSSS!

This is the summer where LAKESIDE becomes a HUGE part of CL. Our new underpass allows us to easily go from one side of camp to the other. Our lake activities will be tripled as will our hiking trails. It’s so exciting for us to bring this FUN expansion to you.

I wanted to write a letter to both our returning families and one that gives our new families something to look forward to. The first thing that came to my mind is how camp becomes such a huge part of you. Returners you know what I am talking about, new families let me explain.

As you know, we live down in Florida during the winter and at camp from mid-May through the end of August. It never ceases to amaze me how my internal alarm clock goes off every year come April. I know that I am not going to have a day off for four months, work 18 hours a day, run a small city (the best one in the world!), and yet this inner drive is telling me to get out of Florida and back up to camp. My friends that have never been to camp just don’t get it. They always say “Who would ever want to work that much with so much responsibility?” Well, we count down the minutes every year to do it. I know that everyone reading this is, or will be, feeling the exact same way. Camp is in your blood. Nothing in the world can replicate what happens at 18332 for those 6 weeks. How many sleep overs, Mitzvah’s, vacations, road trips, reunions, and picnics have happened just this year alone from camp?!

Everyone get excited for the best summer of their lives!!!

We wanted to announce the newest member of our year round staff. Wes Imundo will be joining us starting this June as our newest Assistant Director! He has been part of the Lindenmere team since the summer of 2012. Over the years he has been a soccer counselor, Division Leader, Assistant Head Counselor and Evening Activities Director. Wes graduated from Georgia Southern in 2013 with a degree in Recreation Therapy. After a couple of winters working in the field he knew that he belonged at camp year round. He brings high levels of passion and energy with him and is a big favorite with both the campers and staff.

Once a week during camp on Wednesdays we love to see the campers and staff

get as spirited as possible to our special Theme days! We feel like this is such a

fun part of camp to get wacky, celebrate your nation, be colorful, empower your

inner superhero, match one of your best camp friends, and just be all out crazy!

Only at camp do we really learn to put ourselves out there without anyone else

shaking their heads, smile and participate in such fun. We can’t wait to see how

everyone will dress in 2018!

Check out our new four man Aeroball we have for 2018! Games can be played as 1 on 1 or 2 on 2. The four person game incorporates strategy, timing, bounce and so much more. After trying this game out ourselves we knew that it was going to be a huge hit with our campers. We will be offering it as a minor and during free play periods. This massive game is over 15 feet both in width and length! Get ready for some serious action this summer!
