technologies:
In the case of real-time online geo-location, the device receives the coordinates from the satellite and relays the information to the server
constantly. The tracking sensors use the GPRS/EDGE/3G technology for this.
This online tracking is commonly used in operations which require all time geo-location services, e.g., logistics, traffic or car fleet systems. The main
advantage is the convenience of use. Managing and control is also efficient, as the server functions as a monitor and a controller of the process.

However, costs with the continuous use of the GPRS/EDGE/3G and the server activity are higher.
The offline geo-location tracking consists of receiving the present location of the object from the satellite and recording various data
such as position, time, speed, etc. in the memory storage of the tracking devices, which is similar to the black box of an airplane. In
this case, the system is not connected to a network, so the user will have to check the recorded data after the completion of the task.
The semi-offline system implies receiving the real time location from the satellite and sending it to the user as requested. Data
sending can be based on GPRS/ EDGE/3G or SMS. The advantage of the SMS semi-offline system is the alleviation of GPRS/EDGE/3G
expenses, thus making it commonly used in the asset tracking industry at present.

Increased Asset Visibility – The on-screen mapping and management of the distributed assets is easily performed, with the real-time viewing function for object movements in place.
Real-time Position Tracking– Using the combination of dedicated GPS and RFID technologies, customers can locate assets more accurately and rapidly. Regular data reporting is performed via the GSM/GPRS mobile phone network back to the dedicated server.
Custom Objects Configuration – The system permits the creation of custom tracking rules for particular groups of objects.
Geo-Fencing – The system supports the creation of user defined boundaries and safety zones in which tracked assets can either enter or exit.
System Alerts – If the monitored assets cross the defined geo-fences, the system issues relevant alerts and notifications via SMS or e-mail.
Fixed Asset Tracking Organization - The data grids view is designed to be highly useful for managing the asset data. The users can easily rename data fields and columns so that teams can navigate through the information quickly and fluently.
Advanced Reporting – Users can compile various asset-tracking reports, easily filtering and sorting through the data fields. Printing, export-ing to MS Excel spreadsheets and emailing from the system is possible.
Remote Monitoring & Control – The system reduces equipment costs, improves maintenance planning, limits liabilities and pre-empts op-erational failures.
Supply Chain Management - By increasing the accuracy of information, it helps cut costs by reducing inventories and lead times, reducing direct goods transportation costs and supporting continuous supply chain optimization.
Safety & Security to Prevent Theft - By constantly monitoring the location, it provides enhanced security protection for high-value loads, improves detection of terrorism and other malicious threats and improves stolen asset recovery.

KEY TECHNICAL FEATURES
SMARTTRACK COMES TO MARKET AS AN INTEGRATED SOFTWARE-HARDWARE SOLUTION, WITH A RANGE OF PERFORMANT TRACKING DEVICES IN PLACE, WHICH CAN BE INSTALLED ON EITHER FIXED OR MOBILE ASSETS.
The devices will track and report object location using latitude and longitude coordinates, along with other important information, to a
central GPS application server through the wireless networks. The system allows the server to simultaneously monitor multiple targets.
Specific warning signals and alarms will be emitted in case the tracked object exceeds speed, for example, or comes out-of-route.
The tracking device can also follow specific pre-programmed as well as customized commands, in case of dying battery, electricity cutting-off,
wire trapping or alarm on-off switching.
The SMARTTRACK location tracking and device monitoring system was developed with a focus on high-quality devices, which can generate important cost
reductions in time. Therefore, the devices have reduced power consumption during the stages of the tracking process and the following benefits in use:
Alternate Run Modes: By clocking the controller from the Timer1 source or the internal oscillator block, power consumption during code execution can
be reduced by as much as 90%.
Multiple Idle Modes: The controller can also run with its CPU core disabled, but the peripherals still active. In these states, power consumption can be
reduced even further, to as little as 4% of normal operation requirements.
On-the-Fly Mode Switching: The power-managed modes are set by user code during operation, allowing the user to incorporate power-saving ideas into
the application’s software design.
Low Consumption in Key Modules: The power requirements for both Timerl and the Watchdog Timer are minimized.
Memory Endurance: The Enhanced Flash cells for both program memory and data EEPROM are rated to last for many thousands of erase/write cycles -
up to 100,000 for program memory and 1,000,000 for EEPROM. Data retention without refresh is conservatively estimated to be greater than 40 years.
Self-Programmability: These devices can write to their own program memory spaces under internal software control. By using a bootloader routine,
located in the protected Boot Block at the top of program memory, it becomes possible to create an application that can update itself in the field. With
abundant application capability like embedded LUA script, TCP/UDP/FTP/FTPS/HTTP/HTTPS/SMTP/POP3 and MMS, the module provides much flexibility
and ease of integration for customer's application. It is ideal for a wide range of products like PDA, MID, PND, POS, Tracker, AMI, Health Care etc.
NanoWatt technology: The devices incorporate extreme low power microcontrollers featuring nanoWatt technology.
