Escaping from terror, Syrian Refugees are the humanitarian crisis of our time.

Thompson Okanagan volunteers are working hard to provide homes for 50 refugee families.

Each family depends on some 20 local volunteers to provide a welcoming introduction to the community, language skills, housing, and transportation for 12 months.

It is more than just the basics. Sharing birthday parties, the first day of school, grocery shopping, and weekly community events, we are family.

Raising $30,000 in funding for every family, together with providing essential volunteer help is an enormous challenge to each community group.

A private investment of $375,000 is needed to match government funding to support volunteers welcoming 50 refugee families to the Thompson Okanagan.
