    Syria has been ruled by the Baath Party for

    a very long time and the freedom and thehumans rights in that country has beendeny by the government.

    The majority of Syrian are Sunni sect, whilethe government is controlled by the SyiahNusayri .

    It is clear that the two main sect in Islamwhich is Sunni and Syiah have a very longtime conflict which has no end.

    At first the protesters just wanteddemocracy and greater freedom.

    But once security forces opened fireon peaceful demonstrations, peopledemanded that the President, Basharal-Assad resign.

    President Assad has refused to stepdown.
