SYNOPSIS
A desperate mother has designed a strange plan
to help her son. The young man suffers from a
destructive fantasy life revolving around death
and violence. In order to change these disturbing
obsessions, he engages in his mother’s self-
devised therapy program.
When a young neighbor is enlisted in this pro-
gram without her knowledge, things start to
fall apart.

Alban Mondschein, born and raised in Leipzig in 1995, was a member of the Theaterjugendclub am Schauspiel Leipzig from 2013. From 2016 to 2020 he studied acting
at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre. Since the season of 2019/20 he is a permanent member of the
ensemble at the Staatstheater Hannover.
Alban gained his first filming experiences as a child and teenager in episodic TV with the shows IN ALLER FREUNDSCHAFT and SOKO LEIPZIG among others.
Further roles in series, university productions and television films followed.
ANNA STEFFENS

Anna Steffens, born in Cologne and raised in Mannheim, studied acting at Otto Falckenberg school in Munich. Her
theatre engagements included Ulm, Staatstheater Hannover, Maxim Gorki theatre Berlin (where she won the Daphne
Award), from 2000 to 2009 at Thalia Theatre Hamburg, and from 2010 to 2014 at Staatstheater Oldenburg. At Oldenburg
she played Danton in "Dantons Tod", Merteuil in "Quar-tett", and Ranjewskaja in "Der Kirschgarten", amongst others. Since 2014 she is part of the ensemble of Staats-
theater Mainz, where she played Cleopatra in "Antonius und Cleopatra", Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth", Valeri in
"Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald" und many others. In 2006 she appeared in the short film "Detektive" by Andreas Goldstein as the female lead together with Martin Wittke.
The film premiered at Venice Film Festival. MODEL OLIMPIA is her debut performance in a
feature film.
the Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis for her role in TAT-ORT - KLINGELINGELING (2017, ARD) by Marcus Im-
boden. After her diploma Bundschuh started her first theatre engagement at the Residenztheater Munich and worked for example with Andreas Kriegenburg, Alvis Hermanis, Robert Borgmann, Amelie Niermeyer, David Bösch, Nicolaus Hab-jan and in 2018 she was honored with the Förderpreis der Freunde des Residenztheater. Since summer 2019 Mathilde
Bundschuh is working as a freelancer and is living in Berlin.

Mathilde Bundschuh, born in 1994, grew up in Berlin Wei-ßensee and began acting in the age of 10 in various produc-
tions for film and tv. Among others she worked with Uli Edel (DAS ADLON. EINE FAMILIENSAGA, ZDF), Sherry Horman (OPERATION ZUCKER. JAGDGESELLSCHAFT,
ARD), Hannu Salonen (TATORT - VERSCHLEPPT, SR) and made her film debut with the award winning feature film
TAGE DIE BLEIBEN by Pia Strietmann in 2010. After her graduation Bundschuh started her drama studies in 2012 at University for Music and Theater in Rostock. During the study she made her theatre debut at Volkstheater Rostock.
While her study Bundschuh was involved in several pro-ductions in film and tv and in 2015 she won the Deutscher
Schauspielerpreis for her role in DAS ENDE DER GEDULD (2013, ARD) by Christian Wagner and was nominated for

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
After some internships in Film/Television and training as media designer Alexander studied Film, Communication Research and Political Science at Johannes Gutenberg-
University Mainz as well as Bond University/Australia. Besides his studies he was freelancing as a cinematogra-
pher and gaffer for several film- and television companies. Moreover he ran the camera department in numerous short
films. After graduating in 2009 Alexander worked as Director of Photography on commercials and documenta-
ries for German television. In 2017 he made with the docu-mentary DIE KANDIDATEN his cinematic debut together
with director Michael Schwarz. In the same year nomi-nation for the GERMAN CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARD for his work on ZDF / 37 GRAD – DIE REISE MEINES
LEBENS. MODELL OLIMPIA directed by Frédéric Hambalek is Alexander's first feature film work.
MARIANA SCHNEIDER LEAD PRODUCER
Mariana Schneider was born in 1988 near Frankfurt, Ger-many. Her studies in film and media took her to London and Barcelona. After having received her master degree she rea-lized as a producer over 20 episodes of the culture program-me METROPOLIS (arte), as an author over 15 reports and
features for METROPOLIS and KULTURZEIT as well as the history documentary WITCH HUNT in SALEM and
various image films.
In 2017/18 she took part in the international master class for young producers ATELIER LUDWIGSBURG - PARIS. After
graduation, she returned to Frankfurt and is currently working for the Hessian Film and Media Academy and as a freelance
commissioning editor for arte/zdf.
FRÉDÉRIC HAMBALEK
WRITER, DIRECTOR & PRODUCER
Frédéric Hambalek was born 1986 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He majored in film studies and American studies at Johan-nes Gutenberg-University Mainz. As a writer he won the Tankred Dorst-Award of the Drehbuchwerkstatt München
with his script DER POLIZIST UND DAS MÄDCHEN. The film, produced for ZDF, would go on to be nominated for the Grimme Award and was followed by scripts for the TV series
4 BLOCKS and the TV movie EIN EINFACHER JOB.
As a director his short films played at numerous international festivals. BERGFIEBER was featured as Staff Pick Premiere
by Vimeo and was nominated for their Best of the Year-Award.
MODELL OLIMPIA is his first feature film.
