A HISTORY OF HARBOR MOON Harbor Moon, Maine was founded in the 1930’s by young traveler John O’Callaghan. Being the sole survivor of the massacre at his family’s ranch, the young boy set out in search of a town far enough away that he could just escape… Along his travels he met other people like him and together they built what has become a self-sustaining community in the far reaches of the North East. Harbor Moon is home to less than 600 residents who make their living raising cattle or operating businesses that cater to members of the town. Although crime is almost non-existent, their Sheriff also acts as the de facto mayor. John kept a journal about what happened to him and his vision for the town, and currently this tome is on display at the Harbor Moon library, connected to the schoolhouse.

    Arcana Studio - Publisher

    Arcana is a Canadian comic book publisher and art studio founded in

    2004 by Sean O’Reilly. Winner of the prestigious Shuster Award for

    Publisher of the Year in 2005, their titles include Kade, Ezra, 100 Girls

    and El Arsenal.

    In five short years, they have become Canada’s top publisher with

    over one hundred properties to their credit. Arcana Art Studio is currently working for Disney as an official vendor, Ubisoft, HBO and

    developed Dragon’s Lair, ReBoot, Se7en and Final Destination for

    comic books.

    They have also signed a publishing deal with Simon Shuster for 100

    Girls and a co-production deal with Amberwood Animation on Ralph

    Filmore for an animated television series. In July 2008 Arcana announced that telefilm Canada has provided funding for an animated

    film for their title Clockwork Girl. Clockwork Girl was the first release

    from Arcana’s all ages division, Arcana Kids.

    Arcana will be releasing Spoke Lane’s graphic novel Harbor Moon in

    2010.

    Ryan Colucci - Writer/Editor/Producer

    Ryan is an alumnus of the prestigious Peter Stark Producing MFA

    Program at USC. He received his BA in Film Studies and Production

    from Hofstra University, graduating Suma Cum Laude. Before that he pursued a degree in Accounting from Villanova University and spent a

    year at Cambridge University in England studying Economics and

    Terrorism. He is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Communications

    Honor Society as well as the Gamma Phi Business Honor Society.

    He has over eight years of experience in the film industry, having

    worked in development for Artisan/Lion’s Gate (Blair Witch Project, The

    Punisher) and Disney (Pirates of the Caribbean, Freaky Friday). He also worked at Snoot Entertainment, where he was a producer on the CG-

    animated feature Battle for Terra, which premiered at the 2007

    Toronto Film Festival and was released on May 1, 2009 from Lionsgate

    in both 2D and 3D.

    Ryan Colucci, along with acclaimed director Mike Newell, is teaming up

    with Warner Brothers Pictures to produce Terry Brooks’ Shannara fantasy series (twelve books in total). Terry is the fourth best-selling

    fantasy author of all time, behind only JR Tolkien, JK Rawlings and CS

    Lewis.

    His second graphic novel, R.E.M., is currently in production and will be

    hitting shelves in the summer of 2010.

    Dikran Ornekian - Writer

    A Los Angeles-based screenwriter, Dikran currently has projects in

    development with Infinitum Nihil (Johnny Depp), Snoot Entertainment

    (Battle for Terra), Occupant Films (The Wackness) and Stone Village

    Pictures (Love in the Time of Cholera). His script The Ghost and the Wolf made Hollywood’s exclusive Black List, as one of the best scripts

    of 2009. He is represented by Andrew Deane of Industry

    Entertainment.

    Before focusing on screenwriting full time, Dikran worked in motion

    picture development for Stephen Sommers’ The Sommers Company.

    He served as an assistant to Mr. Sommers on Universal’s Mummy:

    Curse of the Dragon Emperor and Paramount’s G.I. JOE: The Rise of

    Cobra.

    Dikran holds a B.A. in Film and History from the University of Michigan and an M.F.A. from the Peter Stark Producing Program at University of

    Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

    Paul Sambor - Pencils/Inks/Colorist/Letterer

    Paul is an alumnus of Poland’s top art school, receiving his Master of

    Arts from Radom University of Technology. Since then, he has put his

    skills to the test as co-founder of B5, a Polish comic magazine. Paul is ready to burst onto the comic scene with his unique vision for Harbor

    Moon.

    Karol Wisniewski - Art Director/Web Design

    Karol is a writer, journalist and web designer from Poland with great

    taste that allows him to find talented artists and brilliant strips from

    around the planet. He also creates his own comics projects, most

    recently New British Comics - an indie comics anthology published simultaneously in two editions: English and Polish. He is currently

    working on new comics anthologies with uncommon themes, as well as

    writing scripts of his own.

    Nikodem Cabala - Supporting Artist

    Nikodem Cabala, also know as Nick O’Damn, is one of the most hard

    working comics artists on this planet. To this day, he has co-created 7

    graphic novels and contributed to a vast array of anthologies and magazines with dozens of his short stories and editorial illustrations.

    All that before he has turned 30.

    For Harbor Moon he drew an amazing vision of the origins of the Harbor Moon town. Nikodem is now working on new chapters of the

    space-opera BioCosmosis. Enone, the first part of this epic saga, was

    presented in Heavy Metal Magazine in March of 2009. Also, he’s

    preparing to shock American readers with his upcoming horror graphic novel.

    Brian Anderson - Story By

    Brian Anderson is the creator of the syndicated comic strip Dog eat Doug. The strip enjoys an international fan base both on and offline.

    He is currently working on several children’s books, including "The

    Prince’s New Pet" which will be released in the spring of 2010.
