Introduction

Synergy Computers Limited (SCL) is Pakistan’s premier IT

Solutions provider. With nearly 30 years of experience, we

strive to exceed the expectations of our clients in the

spheres of hardware, application solutions, integration sys-

Background

Incorporated as Saigol Computers (Pvt.) Limited in Septem-

ber 1981, SCL commenced operations in January 1982.

Prior to its incorporation, the company’s progenitor, Com-

puter Applied Software and Hardware Enterprise (CASHE),

had already opened up the relatively young Pakistani mar-

ket in the late ‘70s to the application of computers in fi-

nance, distribution, banking and data base development. In

2000, the company was formally christened as Synergy

Computers Limited.

Synergy between Business and Technology

In the early 80’s Europe and North America witnessed a revo-

lutionary change in information technology as their started to

realize their true potential. IT solutions were now seen as an

integral part business strategies geared towards growth.

Having witnessed this acceptance of IT solutions as part of

business processes worldwide, the Director’s of SCL struc-

tured the company to be the “Synergy” between business

and information technology.

With a strength of nearly 200 dedicated professionals, SCL

has wide reaching presence and is able to serve its clients

from offices in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Mul-

tan and Faisalabad. Karachi serves as the corporate head-

quarters.

UBank Plus Banking Solution

UBANK Plus is a comprehensive online banking package

developed by SCL and engineered keeping in mind local

and international banking requirements. It is produced with

a GUI front end and a choice of 4GL database engine at the

backend.

The products three-tier design (Presentation Layer, Appli-

cation Layer and Data Layer) gives it the flexibility to be

used with different database engines like MS-SQL, Oracle

etc. While the package already has the capability of making

online inter branch transactions, the future plan for UBANK

Plus is to make it completely web enabled for e-banking.
