THE SYNERGY OF TECHNOLOGY WITH BASAIC LEARNING

THEORIES, PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES

SYNERGY

The term is compounded words taken from synchronize and energy, which can also be stated also as synchronized energy.The term is rather long though some parts are clipped to come to come out with the new term, synergy.

This has been taken to mean that the effect of the individual factors or sources becomes more pronounced and felt if they are in operation at the same time rather than if they act singly one after the other.

If a person is afflicted with influenza, the physician usually prescribes antipyretic for the fever , antibiotic for the infection and multi-vitamins for strengthening resistance and plenty of water to drink for body temperature and elimination of waste.

Synergy seen along the teaching and learning involves the concerted affects of many factors like methodologies and strategies of teaching, principles of teaching and learning, application of appropriate educational technology and evaluative materials which are appropriate to the content.

TECHNOLOGY AND THE DEVELOPOF MENT OF 21ST CENTURY

A comprehensive understanding of the complemental and supplemental relationship between education and technology is very important to convince teachers and students to use technology as a tool of teaching and learning.

Communication is a reciprocal influence of man which maybe face to face or thru different media. It is sharing of information, thoughts, feelings and emotions, process of encoding and decoding ideas and concepts.

This involves the higher order thinking skills like analysis, synthesis and evaluation.

HIGH PRODUCTIVITY SKILL

Thru technology, teachers and students can accomplish more targets because it facilitates the execution of the different learning processes.

SOCIETAL VALUE SKILL

Involves the development of favorable relationship and concern for the welfare of others.

BASIC LEARNING THEORIES VIS A VIS TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION
