    CIMA Chartered ManagementAccounting Qualifcation 2010

    The CIMA syllabus has been revised to keep it resh and up to date or business in a ast changing world.Changes have been made where necessary and are based on research -particularly with employers. We want to make surethat CIMA continues to provide nancially quali ed business leaders with broad ranging business and management skillsto complement their nancial training.

    The CIMA quali cation remains a global quality standard in management accounting. That means you can be sure thatCIMA members across the world are trained to the same demanding standards and have the same range o skills.

    When do the changes start?The new syllabus will be examined or the rst time in May 2010. The two syllabi will not run concurrently and thetransition rom the 2005 syllabus to the new one will not be complicated.All registered CIMA students who have passed exams (or been awarded exemptions) at the managerial level o the CIMA2005 syllabus be ore the end o January 2010 will be credited or equivalent papers at the operational and managementlevel in the CIMA 2010 syllabus.

    There will be a new award a ter operational level - Diploma in Management Accounting - in addition to the AdvancedDiploma in Management Accounting a ter management level.

    Test o Pro essional CompetenceCIMAs unique Test o Pro essional Competence in Management Accounting brings together practical experience andeducation. It's the link between being able to do, not just know.

    There will be two parts to the Test o Pro essional Competence in Management Accounting in the new syllabus:Part A Initial Pro essional Development Work Based Practical Experience.Part B Case Study Examination.A student will need to complete and pass both sections to pass T4 although they can be completed in any order.
