Day excursion to Mount TitlisDepart Lucerne by regular train to Engelberg. A train depart Lucerne 10 minutes past every hour and arrives into Engelberg 53 minutes past the hour. Then from Engelberg, either take the free shuttle bus service (departing on the hour) or take a 5 minute walk to reach the cable car station to begin a journey by aerial cableway (please note - cable cars depart every 10 seconds from 8.30 am onwards). Your ascent/descent is in three stages:

Engelberg – Trubsee 20 min by GondolaTubsee – Stand 5 min by by Cable CarStand – top of Mt Titlis 5 min by Rotair Revolving Gondola.

Your cable car journey will take you through many changes of scenery, from the green valley to glacier crevasses and ice falls. The summit station at 3028 metres has a sun terrace, observation lounge, glacier walks and a panoramic restaurant that offers superb views.

Engelberg is an alpine town in central Switzerland. In the center is Kloster Engelberg, a 12th-century monastery. Trails weave up Mt. Titlis, and ski runs zigzag down, while revolving Titlis Rotair gondola lift leads to the summit, Titlis Cliff Walk suspension bridge and a glacial park. Trübsee, a glacial lake, lies nearby.

Engelberg is 1 hour 50 minutes by train from Zurich (via Lucerne) and 43 minutes from Lucerne. The Mt Titlis Resort holiday apartments in Engelberg offer plenty of space in which to relax in one, two or three bedroom apartments. The large, bright living area with its open-plan kitchen is perfect for evening get-togethers with friends and family.

From the balcony or patio, you can enjoy sweeping views of Engelberg, Titlis and the surrounding mountain landscape. The apartments are all very-well equipped. Free WLAN is available in all apartments and buildings in the Titlis Resort.
