SWIMMING

Training venues:

• All training venues are equipped with Omega starting blocks, touchpads,

backstroke devices, pace clocks, water, ice, and a gym

• No pre-reservation needed for training times (free for all)

• System of allocation of training venues:

o teams are divided into 3 groups based on the location of their respective

hotels

o each group will have shuttle bus service running from their hotels to 2

directions:

▪ Danube Arena (competition venue)

▪ one of the remaining training venues (BVSC/Komjadi/Tuske)

Training venue:

Heroes Square/Varosligeti Mujegpalya (address: 5 Olof Palme Walkway, Budapest)

2 temporary outdoor pools (Competition pool: 30x25x3m, Training pool: 50x25x3m)

Main principles of allocation of training times/pools:

• Pools will be configured to allow lap swimming, routine practice and routine training

• Each team will be assigned two (2) training sessions per day with at least one (1) session in the

competition pool each day

• Based on the final entries, groups will be formed for training sessions both in the competition pool

and training pool

• Prevision: 8 groups of 5 national teams (3 countries with all events, 2 countries with duet and solo)

• The assigned schedule will have a continuous rotation to ensure equal training conditions for all

the competitors planning 40 minutes warm up, training with music, 60 minutes practice time

• Competition Pool: Routine practice with music and competition

• Training Pool: Routine practice and lap swimming (organised in three zones)

• Schedule for training with music will be arranged upon number of events entered, considering

number of federations, date of arrivals, hotel and transfer routes

• Teams in the same group are allowed to share music time. Forms will be available in the

information desk for music time arrangements

• Sharing music with teams from different groups will not be allowed

• based on the final entries, each team will have a designated pool for training
