PALAS TABLE LAMP

This Palas Table Lamp is a blend of typical local materials (bamboo) with modern techniques of workmanship (laminated bended bamboo) which combine with the basic forms of “Palas ketupat (rice cake)”

SIDJIBATIK

Sidji Batik’s concept is one motif for one sheet of batik. Sukarman originated this method from his experiments in 2011 with contemporary motifs and bright colors. What makes very special, Sukarman also organize Batik artisans in good manner and in better way, putting them as partners and implementing fair trade in business.

ALIEN BAMBOO STOOL & BAMBOO VASES

Regarding his main interest about community development, most of his research are about enhancing bamboo product design with applicable technique for small-medium entreprise (SME) craftsmen. It has led a certain signature to his design works, which can be described as ‘natural contemporary research based product’

BAMBOO GUITAR ENDO

Endo is an ethnomusicolog whose interest to develop music instruments from bamboo, material sources that easy to find and fast growing. So with his community he began to design full bamboo guitar and with different guitar character. In 2014 his bamboo guitar will officially use in an international jazz festival.

NAFKA CASUAL BAG

Nafka casual bag is a combination of organic leather and used billboard vinyl in such a way that combined into a typical bag. Nafka projected as a creative exploration and experimentation to create products with aesthetic designs, function and quality through a process that integrates community development and environmental awareness. Nafka chooses to focus on developing responsible lifestyle products in the creation of a better social, environment and economy as demanded by this earth.

TENUN PATRA

The Tenun Patra is created by adopting the principles of traditional Balinese ikat and endek (both referring to a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft fibres and and by applying new motifs (patra) in the production. Having creative mind on his own, since his early creative endeavour Arsawan, the designer and the producer, was never satisfied with the existing repetitious simple motifs.

STREET OF JAVA (STROJAV)

Inspired by the culture of java with its diversity of traditional clothings, the part that give the effect of activeness and one of a kind from the clothings are expressed through this collection to give modern touch without leaving the traditional routes. The biggest source of inspiration is from the uniform of the Wirabraja warrior of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat kingdom that is adapted to produce a ready to wear collection to give the impression of easy going to the customer to be mixed and matchedwith his own private clothings.
