To grade up accessibility in mountain areas we need a special approach
We need a massif/global approach instead of slope/side approachTo grade up accessibility of mountain areas we need a global evaluation/planning. We must think without borders, we must start from the problem tosolve
… and we must combine:integrated approach (multi-sector)massif approach (territorial)bottom-up/top-down (agreeable)
To improve accessibility in mountain areas we need a special approach, the experience of LAG Appennino Genovese
“Terre Alte” (high lands) Project , Border Cooperation in Apennine/Alp area. 4 LAGs lie along the two sides of Apennine/Alp chain 4 border mountain area in 4 different Italian Regions4 real remote areas, low density (20 inh/kmq), lack of services, isolation, desertification, …..Each one is too far from chief regional cities (Genoa, Turin, Milan and Bologna)Each one has the same problems.Together they are trying to solve problem using a massif approach, to stop sliding of people and services to lowlands (cities)

To grade up accessibility in mountain areasprojects/actions
•we can/must improve public-private system of transport

•we can/must improve inhabitant and SME services, quality of life
About transport, Genoa Province situation
•Railways and motorways lie along the coast and through the 2 main accesses from/to North Italy
•Port and Airport are in Genoa
